I haven't hurt us yet, if that's any indication.

Do try to keep it on topic though. We could always take this to the Kiwi Party headquarters in Spam. =p

So, for the sake of this thread...

I've always been in favor of stem cell research. The possible benefits completely outweigh the whole "moral downsides". I'm glad to see that for once we have a President who understands where our priorities ought to be.

Jeffro;4830278Get into a car accident, become paraplegic, and then talk to us about the morality of stem cell research.

It's at the point where they could take one of my skin cells, convert it into a stem cell, and then use that to help me. Not QUITE there yet, but within this decade it'll be normal to have this done. This is where the real magic will happen, not in embryonic stem cell research. Hell, they'll be able to just grow new organs made from my own tissues, which means a guaranteed match, no possibility of rejection.

DnC;4830208BBC NEWS | World | Americas | Obama is to reverse stem cell ban I think this reinforces my theory that he is in fact atheist or agnostic. I'd happily take a bullet for the man anyday. Anyone who replies saying that they are Christian but are for stem cell research, needs to rexamine the values of their religion. Unless of course you believe in the updated values that the Vatican hands out every few years.

Funny, our sermen yesterday was about "Not all that say my Lord will enter the gates of Heaven" meaning there are impostors screaming they are Christians.

I'm dead set against it when it comes to "Killing live babies" for this. I'm not against using Unibilical(sp) cords.

I'm a Diabetic... and I would NEVER take a cure though this method or trying to better myself at the life of another.

You're absolutely right. Either claim you're a Christian and adhere to all the scriptures or don't be a Christian at all. God wouldn't be very happy if he learnt people are interpreting the Bible.

I've absolutely no problem with killing babies/embryos to benefit society; or even just for shits and giggles. There's nothing special about human life that makes it innately valuable.

Like flinging aborted fetuses in the air and having a skeet shoot? Afterwards, the remnants can be used for stem cell research. Sounds like a plan, eh?

At least you are honest with yourself

Both, basically Obama signed a bill that will allow for any means necessary
