Yep. Michael Jackson, the "Prince of Pop" is dead. I hope Bubbles isn't too distraught.

Anyway, my question is - should this be seen as a huge tradegy, or should it be seen as vindication for all the kids he's allegedly fucked with over the years.

I can't understand why he's getting all this post-mortem support. The guy allegedly diddled little kids, IMO his death means one less pederast who can buy his way out of prosecution.

The death of Farrah Fawcett earlier this week is a bigger "tragedy" than the death of a kiddie-diddler, her death could be better labelled a tragedy after that long, public struggle with cancer.

My thoughts exactly as I posted almost the same post over in general discussion.

I'd opt into the I didn't know the guy therefore have no opinion on his death stance.

I'm sure plenty more people died yesterday, and if I cared about them all I'd probably lose my capacity to function, relatively speaking, normally.

I never liked his music. But, I do think he got freaky with those kids that tried to prosecute him. Not much a a tragedy really.

What I don't get is how people are saying that this is a "tragedy" and how it happened "two soon".

Look. The pederast was a freak of nature clinging to life by a thread. He had two great album, lost his edge and then pumped out several more decades of unadulterated shit.

He's worm food. Get over it.

I'm no fan of MJ. He was a freak, yes, but a paedo? Come on, it all started with the first kid from a lowlife family, wanting money out of him, it worked, MJ payed up and everything was dropped, so much for that "families Justice", didnt give a crap about "justice" when the Dollars came a'rollin in. So others tried the same. He was a freak, but people took advantage of that to basicly gain money from him.

I never really cared for him untill now. His music sucks and now he's dead right at 50 a nice round number to be remembered. I think he was killed by a whole bunch of MAMJ's or is hiding somewhere to be killed or to take more noises.

He was trying to clean that reputation up by ignoring it and just trying to get back into the music business. Something like he was about to launch a tour when he died.

Never liked his music, he isn't the only person to rape little kids and the fact that he is made of more plastic then a barbie doll collection is just creepy. I don't really care, there are still more artists who are better then he is.

All this is missing the [controversial] thread prefix.

He was a singularly inspiring artist, so I hope it is contributions to music that he will be remembered for. If he did indeed do the things he was alleged to do, then good riddance to that side of him. It's a shame the other side had to follow. (Can we clone half a personality?)
