Yes indeed, the storyline is vaguely similar to this situation. :nodding:

It would depend on how wide the potential radius of damage would be is case the bomb were indeed to explode, considering that it is buried. :uhm:

The 7,600-pound, 12-foot-long thermonuclear bomb contained 400 pounds of high explosives as well as uranium.

The Air Force insists the bomb was being used for practice and did not contain the plutonium trigger needed for a nuclear explosion.

why have uranium on it if being used for practice?

The Air Force investigation in 2001 estimated that the bomb landed nose first in the seabed and is now buried in 5 to 15 feet of mud.

they "estimate" oh dear

Thinking about it.

Hahahaha! Quality!

"Hi, is that lost and found?" "Yes." "I have an, erm, unusual thing to ask. "Go on." "Have you seen my nuke? I'm sure I left it around there somewhere, I just can't seem to find it. It's big, radioactive and it makes a lot of noise if you kick it. Seen anything like that?" "Um... bye."

A bomber collides with another plane, drops a nuclear bomb, and nobody thinks to go and look for it?! What are they, completely insane?! You don't just 'forget about' or 'misplace' a nuclear bomb!!!
