when the particle collider in France (or was it in Sweden) will be fired. I'm actually kind of scared because it is possible that they can create a black hole on this planet and then we're screwed. It was supposidely going to be tested on Thursday of this coming week.

Where on earth did you hear Sweden? CERN straddles the French-Swiss border...

As for the black holes, don't be worried. It's unlikely that any will be created, and even if they are, they will be harmless. A black hole the size of a few protons will evaporate almost instantaneously. Cosmic rays can collide with the earth at higher energies that the LHC can produce, and nothing has happened so far. CERN did a very comprehensive investigation into the possibility of anything bad happening, and are certain that nothing will go wrong.

Funny thought actually. Imagine if, just if, our universe was actually created this way? I don't think anything will happen though. And if it does, i don't think it'll be as serious as people make it to be. We don't even know what happens if a planet collides with a black hole this fast. Of course, first sign for them would be clocks stopping, then they know they have to shut the facility off.

I wonder what's on the other side of a black hole? Since no one has ever been through one, it could be anything. Time travel? Portal? Complete destruction?

And a worst case scenario; We wouldn't feel anything. It'd happen so fast you wouldn't even feel pain or realise anything.

You know I thought we had already created black holes in labs before so why would this be anydiffernt. They're just small things that don't last long.

Wouldn't be too impossible a teleportation technique came out of it. It IS particles we're talking about here.

Creepy thing about Black holes is that apparently, if you put a watch in a black holes horizont, and stand far away, the watch will go slower, and then stop. Like time doesn't pass there.
