An old but decent idea I think.

There are three political parties, each of them asking your support so the question is: which party would you vote for if you would just have to? No absent ballots are needed here.

* Blue Party

Blue Party believes on responsible individualism, enterpreunership & hard-work, active foreign policy & strong military and tough stance on immigration.

Spoiler: Show

- Fiscal policy & taxation: balanced budget and paying back the national debt are number 1 priorities. Taxation must be rewarding for those who work hard and take care of themselves. Income and corporate taxes should be lowered. Inheritance tax should be abolished. Flat taxation is the way to go.

- Business & trade: Businesses need just few basic regulations, otherwise they should operate independently. The government has no place in owning a company or giving subsidies for one. Employees need just basic benefits, at least they have a job. Free trade without any protectionism brings prosperity for us all.

- Education & culture: Basic education should happen in regulated, state-subsidized private schools. Higher education is the responsibility of students themselves and their parents, provided by private institutions. Love for this country is important aspect of being a citizen and our country is the greatest in the world.

- Health Care: Health care is based on private clinics & hospitals and individuals pay for their health through health insurances which are subsidized with tax exemption by the government. There are some public emergency clinics but that's it.

- Environment & energy: There's no need for special environmental policies, self-regulation by the people and enterprises is enough. National parks however are needed. Fossil fuels & nuclear power are the key words in energy policy, however we should aim for energy independency. We shouldn't worry too much about the global warming.

- Judiciary system & police: Criminals must be severely punished for their unlawful actions, rehabilitation is a waste of time and money. The police should be well-funded to combat crime.

- Foreign policy & military: Our foreign policy must aim on making allies and protecting our national interests world-wide, no matter the cost. Military must be well trained, well equipped and highly professional, used when the national interests require it.

- Immigration: Legal immigrants ok, illegal immigrants totally not ok. All illegals must be sent back to where they came from and borders must be secured. Legal immigration should be strenghtened as well as language education.

- Administration: Strong local governments as they know best the local conditions and needs. The central government is there to draw major policies, handle the foreign policy and take care of the military.

* Yellow Party

Yellow party believes on a balance between an individual and society, moderacy, making policy decisions based on pragmatism rather than ideology.

Spoiler: Show

- Fiscal policy & taxation: having balanced budget and paying back the national debt depends about the conditions. Taxation must be rewarding for those who work hard but also not be punishing for low-income people. Taxation can be lowered according to overall economic situation but it's not its own justification. Light progression in taxation is in order.

- Business & trade: Businesses need some regulations and the government may own or subsidize companies which have strategic importance (energy, airlines, railway etc). Employees need decent benefits, they contribute to wealth of the society too. Free trade with some tariffs to protect domestic companies is needed.

- Education & culture: There should be public and private schools, answerring to demands and expectations of different sorts of people but public education must still be high-quality. Love for this country is important though not emphasized and our country is great.

- Health Care: Public sector has the main responsibility of offering health care for the people but private clinics & hospitals are allowed, some of them subsidized by the government. Health costs are paid through taxation and public & private health insurances.

- Environment & energy: Enterprises can't be trusted to self-regulate themselves so they need some regulations. Protecting the environment and recycling are important. Fossil fuels should be eventually replaced by alternative energy such as wind, solar, hydro, bio fuel and nuclear power. Global warming must be taken seriously but there's no need to overreact.

- Judiciary system & police: Criminals must be punished for their unlawful actions though rehabilitation for those who have commited minor or medium-level crimes must be remembered. The police should be adequately funded to combat crime but crime prevention is needed too.

- Foreign policy & military: Our foreign policy must aim on making allies and friends, cooperating with other nations while protecting our national interests world-wide. Military must be well trained and equipped armed force, possibly based on conscription and used with caution.

- Immigration: Legal immigration is needed to secure fresh workers for businesses. Pathway to citizenship is possible but with heavy restrictions and requirements. All illegal immigrants who have made any sort of crime should be sent back to where they came from. Border security is important as is integrating immigrants to the society.

- Administration: Healthy balance between local and central government is the best mix. Local governments must have reasonable autonomy.

* Red Party

Red party believes on responsible & caring society, equality, labour rights, respect for environment and social economic policies.

Spoiler: Show

- Fiscal policy & taxation: having balanced budget and paying back the national debt must not act as roadblocks when money is needed for important public programs. Those who earn more and have ability to pay more should be taxed harder. Tax cuts for low-income people and middle class are possible. Moderate progression in taxation is good. Inheritance tax is needed to prevent excessive concentration of wealth.

- Business & trade: Businesses need serious regulations and the government owns companies which have strategic importance (energy, airlines, railway etc). Employees need good benefits, it's their right. Free trade mainly brings poverty for the poor, we need certain tariffs and quotas.

- Education & culture: The government has the responsibility in education though few private schools with heavy regulations are allowed. Love for this country isn't as important as showing respect for others and our country is no greater than other civilized nations.

- Health Care: Universal health care is the way to go though few private clinics and hospitals are allowed but heavily regulated. Health costs are mainly paid from tax money.

- Environment & energy: Enterprises need heavy environmental regulations. Protecting the environment and recycling are essential for the well-being of future generations. Fossil fuels & nuclear energy must be eventually replaced by alternative energy sources such as wind, solar and hydro power. Global warming must be taken seriously, we have a planet to save.

- Judiciary system & police: Rehabilitation is more important than punishment, we're better than criminals. Crime prevention is number one priority in fighting against crime and the police should be adequately funded.

- Foreign policy & military: Our foreign policy must aim on making friends, cooperating with different countries and emphasizing diplomatic solutions. Military should be adequately trained & equipped, either a small professional army or conscription army, used only for defence.

- Immigration: Legal immigration is in the interests of the country and though securing borders is important we need to give a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants who also need health care and education just like any other human.

- Administration: Strong central government is needed to soften inequalities between different regions and for keeping the country closer together.

So what's your pick and why?

I chose the Red Party, simply because that is the one which I agree the most with of the three choices. The Blue Party sounds like a nightmare.

I chose Yellow Party. A balance between local and central government is a good quality. Red's environment plans sound Pantheistic.

Relander;4393505An old but decent idea I think.

There are three political parties, each of them asking your support so the question is: which party would you vote for if you would just have to? No absent ballots are needed here.

Spoiler: Show

* Blue Party

Blue Party believes on responsible individualism, enterpreunership & hard-work, active foreign policy & strong military and tough stance on immigration.

* Yellow Party

Yellow party believes on a balance between an individual and society, moderacy, making policy decisions based on pragmatism rather than ideology.

* Red Party

Red party believes on responsible & caring society, equality, labour rights, respect for environment and social economic policies. [spoiler] Individualism can lead to an unbalanced society were the power and wealth is in the hands of a selected few (elite upperclass). So the blue party doesn't cut it for me. Having a society that is caring and fights for equality is the way to go (red party) though one must always maintain balance (yellow party) as not to turn citizens into drones or numbers. So it looks like it will either be yellow or red depending on the exact party program and current national and international affairs/events.

[spoiler] - Blue party: Fiscal policy & taxation: balanced budget and paying back the national debt are number 1 priorities. Taxation must be rewarding for those who work hard and take care of themselves. Income and corporate taxes should be lowered. Inheritance tax should be abolished. Flat taxation is the way to go.

- Yellow Party: Fiscal policy & taxation: having balanced budget and paying back the national debt depends about the conditions. Taxation must be rewarding for those who work hard but also not be punishing for low-income people. Taxation can be lowered according to overall economic situation but it's not its own justification. Light progression in taxation is in order.

- Red Party: Fiscal policy & taxation: having balanced budget and paying back the national debt must not act as roadblocks when money is needed for important public programs. Those who earn more and have ability to pay more should be taxed harder. Tax cuts for low-income people and middle class are possible. Moderate progression in taxation is good. Inheritance tax is needed to prevent excessive concentration of wealth.

A balanced budget and paying back nationa debt are very important, though a fine balance must be found between paying back depts and maintaining things such as social security, public works and so on. Depending on the shape of the country paying of debts may have to eb hold back. BUt if possible extra debts should eb payed back incase a year turns out more profitable then expected. So here I woul be tempted to go with the Red party unless the current financial situation of the country would lead be to believe the blue's have a more regit plan for the comming years. As for Inheritance tax. It's okay but it should be reasonable. Having the middle and lower class loose a quarter or so of an inheritance would be unfair. But if we are talking about several millions it would be reasonable. The basic idea is okay, though it shouldn't punish middle and lower class families who saved some pennys for their old day but didn't got to spent it all before the passed away.

So, red it is, depending on a more detailed party program. I would consider voting blue depending on the more detailed plans of both parties and the current state (and policies) of the country.

Spoiler: Show

- Blue: Business & trade: Businesses need just few basic regulations, otherwise they should operate independently. The government has no place in owning a company or giving subsidies for one. Employees need just basic benefits, at least they have a job. Free trade without any protectionism brings prosperity for us all.

- Yellow: Business & trade: Businesses need some regulations and the government may own or subsidize companies which have strategic importance (energy, airlines, railway etc). Employees need decent benefits, they contribute to wealth of the society too. Free trade with some tariffs to protect domestic companies is needed.

- Red: Business & trade: Businesses need serious regulations and the government owns companies which have strategic importance (energy, airlines, railway etc). Employees need good benefits, it's their right. Free trade mainly brings poverty for the poor, we need certain tariffs and quotas.

I think I have to go with the red party here, empoyees need some good benefits, especialy with managers getting tons of money in bonuses and the like (and upon resigning or evne getting fired!). Free trade is okay, though a fine balance must be found between protecting our own industries and allowing foreign industries to grow. We may wish to keep dominant foreign industries out of the unbalance the market too much, though we also wish to allow poorer countries to have a chanche to establish their own industries/markets. So again, depending on exact party programs the blue party may be a better choice depending on the exact circumstances and so on.

Spoiler: Show

- Blue Education & culture: Basic education should happen in regulated, state-subsidized private schools. Higher education is the responsibility of students themselves and their parents, provided by private institutions. Love for this country is important aspect of being a citizen and our country is the greatest in the world.

- Yellow Education & culture: There should be public and private schools, answerring to demands and expectations of different sorts of people but public education must still be high-quality. Love for this country is important though not emphasized and our country is great.

- Red Education & culture: The government has the responsibility in education though few private schools with heavy regulations are allowed. Love for this country isn't as important as showing respect for others and our country is no greater than other civilized nations.

Love for the country isn't important, respect for those around you (foreigners or fellow citizens) is important. A good and public education system is a must so that all our citizens can have access to good education. I would go with the red party.

Spoiler: Show

- Blue Health Care: Health care is based on private clinics & hospitals and individuals pay for their health through health insurances which are subsidized with tax exemption by the government. There are some public emergency clinics but that's it.

- Yellow Health Care: Public sector has the main responsibility of offering health care for the people but private clinics & hospitals are allowed, some of them subsidized by the government. Health costs are paid through taxation and public & private health insurances.

- Red Health Care: Universal health care is the way to go though few private clinics and hospitals are allowed but heavily regulated. Health costs are mainly paid from tax money.

Most hospitals and clinincs should be public, private ones should be regulated to ensure they don't make huge amounts of money over peoples bodies (if not literally). So the red oarty it is.

Spoiler: Show

- Blue Environment & energy: There's no need for special environmental policies, self-regulation by the people and enterprises is enough. National parks however are needed. Fossil fuels & nuclear power are the key words in energy policy, however we should aim for energy independency. We shouldn't worry too much about the global warming.

- Yellow Environment & energy: Enterprises can't be trusted to self-regulate themselves so they need some regulations. Protecting the environment and recycling are important. Fossil fuels should be eventually replaced by alternative energy such as wind, solar, hydro, bio fuel and nuclear power. Global warming must be taken seriously but there's no need to overreact.

- Red Environment & energy: Enterprises need heavy environmental regulations. Protecting the environment and recycling are essential for the well-being of future generations. Fossil fuels & nuclear energy must be eventually replaced by alternative energy sources such as wind, solar and hydro power. Global warming must be taken seriously, we have a planet to save.

We must put some heavy regulations into place, though we obviously have to keep the industry in mind aswell. It wouldn't be much use if we would totally kill of an industry if alternative methodes would be about as effective. Finding a good balance between effective enviromental protection and economy is important. I would side with the red part again, unless their more detailed party program might prove not to be the best choice depending on current affairs and events. So the blue party could be considered aswell.

Spoiler: Show

- Blue Judiciary system & police: Criminals must be severely punished for their unlawful actions, rehabilitation is a waste of time and money. The police should be well-funded to combat crime.

- Yellow Judiciary system & police: Criminals must be punished for their unlawful actions though rehabilitation for those who have commited minor or medium-level crimes must be remembered. The police should be adequately funded to combat crime but crime prevention is needed too.

- Red Judiciary system & police: Rehabilitation is more important than punishment, we're better than criminals. Crime prevention is number one priority in fighting against crime and the police should be adequately funded.

Rehabilitation is very very important and should be aimed for. However, we can not be foolish and expect to rehabilitate everybody. If it's clearly hopeless or of the risks involved would eb much much too high then good old fashioned lock down is the only answer. We should try to prevent people from turning criminal though and offering people a new start if they do derail. If people keep on ending on the criminal track they obviously can not or do not want to rehabilitate. At a certain point they will have forfeit their chanches and our goodwill and they will face old fashioned lock down. So again, I would say the red party, possibily the blue party depending on a more detailed party program.

Spoiler: Show

- Blue Foreign policy & military: Our foreign policy must aim on making allies and protecting our national interests world-wide, no matter the cost. Military must be well trained, well equipped and highly professional, used when the national interests require it.

- Yellow Foreign policy & military: Our foreign policy must aim on making allies and friends, cooperating with other nations while protecting our national interests world-wide. Military must be well trained and equipped armed force, possibly based on conscription and used with caution.

- Red Foreign policy & military: Our foreign policy must aim on making friends, cooperating with different countries and emphasizing diplomatic solutions. Military should be adequately trained & equipped, either a small professional army or conscription army, used only for defence.

Diplomacy is very very imporant and should be aimed for at all times. Trying to make friends and allies is very important. Or at the very least, establishing neutral relations. If countries are on the wrong course however deplomacy and ultimately militairy intervation has to be considered. So again, the red party, possibly the blue party depending on the exact party program and current affairs/events.

Spoiler: Show

- Blue Immigration: Legal immigrants ok, illegal immigrants totally not ok. All illegals must be sent back to where they came from and borders must be secured. Legal immigration should be strenghtened as well as language education.

- Yellow Immigration: Legal immigration is needed to secure fresh workers for businesses. Pathway to citizenship is possible but with heavy restrictions and requirements. All illegal immigrants who have made any sort of crime should be sent back to where they came from. Border security is important as is integrating immigrants to the society.

- Red Immigration: Legal immigration is in the interests of the country and though securing borders is important we need to give a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants who also need health care and education just like any other human.

We must find a fine balance between giving people from aboard a chanche and our own economy and so on. At the very least refugees need to be taken care of responsibily. Immigrants should be encouraged to build a better life in their country of origin. Illegal immigrants who have been living here for man years and who have fully intergrated should be given the possibility to obtain citizenship. However, immigrants who have been denied citizenship since the establisment of a fair, good and working immigration system would be deported from the country. If people have become illegals due to a failing immigration program that they aren't fully to blame for sticking around so we may let them in afterall. If they were denied citizenship on the ground of fair reasons and this was done swiftly and with the utmost care they have no reason what so ever to be in this country and should leave. By force if they do not cooperate. Strong borders are a must to stop illegal immigration. There is nothing wrong with immigrants but you only should be able to become a citizen via the official (and properly working) official route. More over, improving the economy and society in the country of orgin is a better (final) solution. Letting in endless rows of immigrants would only be a temporarly and endless solution.

So I would say: Yellow party, possibly red party depending on exact party program details and national events and so on.

Spoiler: Show

- Blue Administration: Strong local governments as they know best the local conditions and needs. The central government is there to draw major policies, handle the foreign policy and take care of the military.

- Yellow Administration: Healthy balance between local and central government is the best mix. Local governments must have reasonable autonomy.

- Red Administration: Strong central government is needed to soften inequalities between different regions and for keeping the country closer together.

There needs to be a fine balance between local and higher authorities. Sometimes it's best of a higher authority has it's say, though in other areas local authorities would be much more efficient. Finding a balance between them is a must, aiming for efficient and high quality service to maximize services while keeping costs as low as possible.

So, blue party it is, possibly red party depending on the exact party programs.

So what's your pick and why?

I would chose between either the red and blue party. Both have some fair points and I can not find myself fully agreeing on the exact views of either party. More over, to give a fair answer I would need access to a more complete party program to see what they are planning exactly. A one liner or two on a policy might sound all nice but the detailed version may reveal some points that may not be so nice (in your opinion) afterall. And again, it would also depend on the current situation of the country such as current policies, current affairs and so on.

If I really had to make a choice with the limited knowledge available to me I would go with the red party. But being a responsible citizens I wouldn't vote yet untill more information would be provided to me.

Red and Blue are both too extreme for me. Blue is just too polarizing, you are either rich or poor, conform with society or don't, ally or enemy. The Reds would suffer from crippling taxes on hard working individuals and would be an unattractive place for global companies.

For the most part I agreed with yellow on everything except foreign policy and administration, I favor the diplomacy first stance of the reds and the strong local governments of the blues.

I won't go into too much detail, but I would pick Blue for the most part, with elements of yellow, which I think has a few reasonable ideas. The red party (Example of this: Barrack Obama :lookaround), for the most part, maintains ideas which I think would destroy the people and reduce them to, as mentioned by Donutz above, drones. If my money will be taxen from me for working to get it, what's the point of working? The collapse of a nation in a nutshell. So, I'm a blue with yellow freckles.

Mainly yellow and some red mixed in. We should find a balance where it's necessary. We should also be more progressive in certain areas like health care.

- Education & culture: There should be public and private schools, answering to demands and expectations of different sorts of people but public education must still be high-quality. Love for this country isn't as important as showing respect for others and our country is no greater than other civilized nations. There should be a standard for teachers in both public and private schools. The No Child Left Behind Act was a failure and we shouldn't be slowing down those that learn faster than others. Education should be as comprehensive and hands on as possible because learning goes faster that way. Teachers should have a masters degree in whatever they are going to teach.

- Health Care: Universal health care is the way to go though few private clinics and hospitals are allowed but heavily regulated. Health costs are mainly paid from tax money. Other 1st World Countries have it, why can't the US, our 2007 GDP was 13,543 trillion USD ($43,444 per capita) and our GNP was 13,794 trillion USD ($43,594 per capita). The health of our citizens and legal immigrants is the most important component for a nation.

- Environment & energy: Enterprises can't be trusted to self-regulate themselves so they need some regulations. Protecting the environment and recycling are important. Fossil fuels should be eventually replaced by alternative energy such as wind, solar, hydro, bio fuel and nuclear power. Global warming must be taken seriously but there's no need to overreact. we should also research cleaner forms of energy like nuclear fusion. Geothermal Energy should be used in places where it can effective instead of oil, gas, and coal.

- Judiciary system & police: Criminals must be punished for their unlawful actions though rehabilitation for those who have committed minor or medium-level crimes must be remembered.

I voted red, but I'd prefer a mix of yellow and red. I think socialism is great, as I believe that the greater good of society should come before the greed of an individual. However, I value my freedom to be greedy should I so choose, therefore I'd like yellow to be there for that.

At any rate, since I was given a choice, I went for red because a modern, responsible human society should be based on helpin' a brotha out, rather than kicking homeless people on the street when they ask for a dollar to fill their bellies.

And there, ladies and gentleman, is my simplified way of thinking about politics. Good thing I'm never running for office.
