JP(NL)that would restrain their freedom of speech and expression. wich is one of the major points of wich the USA is a symbol.

I am against flag burning. However, I agree with the fact that we can't take that right away. It is just disgusting to me.

WiseBoboI bet you feel that Hate Literature should be protected by the first ammendment as well.

Yes, I do. I would personally like to know why one person may hate the other. if they can give valid opinions that support their thesis then they have the right to share it. If by chance their racism is purely out of ignorance, others should be aware of that. It isn't entirely their fault they are racist. Even if you ban that type of literature, nothing can stop them from believing what they want, so what does that accomplish?

There are a lot of English flags and Union Jacks flying around at the moment. And when I say a lot, I mean a lot. Nearly every car you see has a couple flying off the sides, many houses are covered in them, office windows have them attached. But it's nothing to do with Britain or England. It's just because of football. When Euro 2004 has passed, they'll all be taken down and the only place you see them again will be on BNP leaflets. That's all our flag means to us, apparently. Footballers have turned it into a symbol of hooliganism, and the BNP have turned it into a symbol of racism.

ah yes. ban flag burning. Who needs freedom of speech anyway? Tell you what, next we'll ban 'subversive' books like Nineteen Eighty Four and Catch 22! Tell you what, then we'll start banning unpatriotic movies! How about M*A*S*H? That's a breeding ground of communistic unpatriotism right there! And then we'll ban rock music. Yeh, great plan! Heil Hitler! I mean Bush! Guess what i think of that idea.....

You like it :p?

I agree. You don't like flag burning? Tough -- that's why they do it. I suppose you're going to want to start arresting people for uttering a word that could possibly be thought of by anyone as against America next.

Mr. mattand the BNP have turned it into a symbol of racism.

The BNP might have had some bad press, but they don't come across as racists and I will be voting for them when I'm able, they are proud of England and make some very good points, the UKIP seem to be about the same thing, but they lack the drive and gumption to actually see it through to the rightful conclusion.

Now you're argument against this will doubtless be along the lines of "the BNP are a bunch a nazi's, would you have another Hitler running England?" Well of course I wouldn't want Hitler running England, but, to be fair, apart from starting the second world war and attempting to exterminate the Jews, Hitler did a damned good job of revitalising his country and making it strong, this is witnessed by the fact that Germany could effectively take on the whole of Europe and Russia and very nearly win.

My argument would be nothing of the sort. But the party does incite racism, even if not on purpose. However, given its past nature, I wouldn't be surprised if it was on purpose.

People who burn their own country flag are usually ignorant anyways. We should just feel sorry for them, instead of being mad at them.

Would you care to point me in the direction of evidence? After all their party election broadcast was very good and didn't contain racism.
