Have you happened to notice that political correctness has got out of hand? Now we have 'Positive Discrimination', which seems like a paradox. But with the new law saying that office bosses could be sewed for having office parties because it could age discriminate by drinking or offend muslims because of gambling, in your opinion, has it gone too far?

Well this is defienetly a topic that will suit the stuggle between Americans vs Europeans, no doubt. There is no other country on earth that is as political correct as USA. I will just write like that until further notice,I sincerely hope I don't have to bring out details, since most of you are probably pretty aware of this fact.

Hmm, I would have thought that the UK was the most politically correct country. We weren't even allowed to fly British flags in cabs because of it, or have some christmas celebrations.

Yes it has gone too far, especially in the USA where it's ridiculous, even sad to put it straight. Though we can put part of the blame on the US justice system which allows almost everything to be taken on the court.

Luckily this wave of political correctness isn't that significant in Finland.

Poltical correctness is the modern day equivlent of news-speak in 1984. It changes the meaning of the words. No longer can you call the redneck, who is giving your grief with with monster truck and love of loud contry music, a redneck. You have to call them a "person of Southern origin"

Screw poltical correctness, all it does it limit our voices in expressing certain things.

I accidentally voted for "I don't know". Can somebody change that to Yes please?

Anyways, political correctness has gone too far. Just listen to the george carlin skit about it and you'll understand. :)

in diffrent ways its worse in each America you're more likely to get sued and the msot riducules cases are brought up, like somebody being racist cuz of a dog food joke while in the UK our culture has virually nearly been wiped out by political correctness

I really don't have much more to add then just the simple I agree. Political correctness is just a very subtle way of society influencing what you say. Just one more reason why people who call themselves free are just deluding themselves.

It's so out of hand it's disgusting. You can't say anything, celebrate anything, or have an opinion on anything today without offending some ethnic group or other. It's pathetic.

thing is though, bad mouthing western/ white cultures seems to be allowed and other ethnic groups can say alot of crap about us and get off with it, we say the slightest thing, its un-pc and racist
