Poll: Obama tops McCain as football-watching buddy - Yahoo! News

WASHINGTON - People would rather watch a football game with Barack Obama than with John McCain — but by barely the length of a football.

...

Are people actually fucking stupid enough to consider this newsworthy? The process of dumbing down America is nearing its final stages!

The only reason I think it was significant was that McCain was considered to be the more down-to-earth candidate, but recent troubles have seen that margin decline. At least I think it was McCain in the last "beer buddy" survey.

I agree, though. The media has been pretty pitiful.

Well, last time we voted on someone who was likeable and "could have a beer with" we got where we are now.

I think people would actually vote on the issues and the differences between the candidates, rather than who we would rather watch football with or smoke a blunt with.

Obama wins that last one as well, I suppose, haha.

All I know is that this country is finished. The citizens and it's leaders have frittered away whatever has been good in the past and replaced it with the nauseating slop we see before our very eyes. I don't doubt if some type of social or economic collapse will happen in the next couple of decades. Stay tuned.

It's funny, we were going over the Protestant Reformation the other day in class. The same things that were so frowned against then, big powerful organization that can feel free to commit abuses of power (Catholic Church), and the flagrant attitude towards scientific evidence or ideas that differ from the norm, still occur today.

If you try and change the way things are perceived (and I mean real change, not Obama-change), you meet every obstacle possible at every turn. A lot of people don't like what is going on in this country right now, but we're voting for McCain and Obama?

All I know is the Constitution has been left behind in the dust, and we, as a society, no longer care about progressing further in life, and we are perfect fine with living in a complacent society where life consists of American Idol and Hannah Montana. Well, we've got celebrities, Chinese-made everything, outsourced jobs, and a supposed infinite supply of oil in the Gulf, who needs politics right?

Bored?

Lazy, more like. Much easier to churn out these pulp-articles than do some real work.

It's from Yahoo. I don't know Yahoo's reputation, but they aren't a giant like Fox or CNN or anything.

What's funny is that Obama reminds me a lot of my history last year. Maybe not as INTENSE, as he said so often to describe any project.

Which one is more likely to be bringing the dip? That is what I care about when voting for president.
