I like him.
In a way it's nice he seperated himself from the evil/stupid pack, however on a more realistic note, Bush only has tyrants for company now.
Would intelligence and decency please turn off the lights on it's way out.
i can see Powell as a future President. moving away from the 'regime' now is probably a good thing. apparently he did say he would only serve one term. does anybody have any other reason why he resigned? is the 'one term' excuse a lie?
Powell is a person in the political world that I actually respect.
I'm glad he resigned, he shoud not be taken down by the "evil powers".
I think he'd make a good president, but Im not sure that the American people would accept a mixed/black president. :uhm:
Powell is related to Bush :-) Just some useless knowledge
I would welcome Powell as British PM.
the reason powell didn't run for precidency after the last gulf war was because his wife didn't want it. understandably enough i guess. a good foreign minister. i just think he should have resigned when the iraq war broke out. he didn't agree with an invasion and i think it placed him somewhat in a credibility problem that he had to defend it in such strong terms, especially after the evidence turned ouot to be what it was (or wasn't). he was actually in copenhagen this april where he among other things visited my old grammar school for a debate with the students.
a liar, he needs to goto war crime trials as well.
I really like Powell and will miss him. He was a good man who made decisions that appealed to almost everybody. I also hate who Bush appointed to replace him (Condoleezza Rice), because she'll agree with everything the president does. Bush is slowly gaining more and more power with the resignations of all these people from his cabinet by appointing people who will do whatever he says (call them puppets if you will). Soon no one will be able to stop him.
I'm way cooler than n0e (who isn't though?)
