As you guys know, or not, the US is building a wall of freedom around Sunni neighborhoods in Baghdad. Without any kind of authorization. Who needs that anyway, they own Iraq.

Prison? Nah, just a freedom camp.

Berlin wall = Bad, evil. Baghdad wall = Good, freedom.

Connections? You decide them.

ps. for whoever locked my last thread. The only thing you did is let everybody here know that if you disagree with a thread, just hijack it and it will be closed.

Nice deliberate misrepresentation of the article. Ill correct you, and include what you forgot to leave out. There will be no isolation of any neighborhood. There will be limitations on the movement of people through specific routes, so that terrorists cannot avoid being searched Limitations, not "no one will be able to cross--period". Law abiding civilians are free to come and go as they please. No one will be restricted from anything. This wall has nothing in common to the "berlin" wall--aside from being a wall. You might as well suggest your neighbors fence surrounding his property is the berlin wall. You have just thoroughly embarrassed yourself, as it is apparent you probably don't know what the berlin wall actually was. You might want to read up on what the berlin was, and what it did.

Check-mate my friend.

Try again.

Check mate my ass. Bush also said "Mission Accomplish" a long long time ago. Yet its not so...

Why don't you quote me Mcqain aka Baghdad Bob 2 when he said its safe to walk in Iraq without escorts?

Check mate to you now.

You can't even keep your own thread on topic. That says a LOT. The whole premise of this thread is to suggest that this wall being erected by the US is like the berlin wall. I have thoroughly debunked your incorrect assumption.

That being said, have you actually read what the berlin wall was? Will you apologize for allowing your uncontrolled bias to trivialize something as monumental as the berlin wall, insulting the people who actually suffered from oppression? A simple yes or no will suffice.

while I agree that there are similarities between the two walls, insulting the source of information is a logical fallacy, which is not a good method of arguing, even when you are right ;)

Dude that wasn't an arguement. It was more of a side statement that shows double standards. But regardless thats not the main point of the thread.

irrelevant to the thread

LoL yeah whatever. If you can't make the connection then I feel sorry for you. The point of that was to show you that just because somebody says something, it desn't mean its exactly true. But you being a person too slow to make you own conclusions after reading an article, I don't expect much.

You can't even keep your own thread on topic. That says a LOT. The whole premise of this thread is to suggest that this wall being erected by the US is like the berlin wall.

Yeah thanks for being an idiot. Shows how much your understanding is.

Thats the main point of the thread. Everything else is a side statement, and not the main thing. I just thought to point out that the US was against the Berlin wall, but they seem to be doing something quite similar in some ways, and by the time It will be complete, who knows what it will be like.

Thanks for pointing out your inteligence. It was good for a laugh : )
