She's not Wiccan (tribal beliefs mostly, half of her family is native south american), and she just doesn't believe in god, but still in an afterlife and spirits. :P
To be perfectly honest, I don't think God can be found in any "official religion", I believe that the concept of God is something more personal, that can only be found, by individual reflection and faith therefore, organized religion seems pointless to me.. Religious texts left in thunderstorms can fade away with the wind, never to be seen again; I believe God is in the thunder, in the wind.
It seems to me that New Age movements is associated with some rebellion against Christianity, and while I can certainly understand that; I see it as a bit misguided. Because with all the problems I have with Christianity, I've got just as many with such religions, simply because of the concept of organized religion itself. But that's just my two cents.

I can't say I am sympathetic to any "New Age" religion, mysticism, mythology, pseudo-science or whatever. I treat any "paganism" with the same contempt I have for any system of supernatural falsehoods, including any of the Abrahamic religions, any of the Eastern traditions, or whatever. I think they are all regressive and anti-rational. But hey that's just me.
