Ok I really need some help in selecting a school. I didn't wanna ask here but its my last resort I need some outside opinions!

I applied to both Clarkson University and the Rochester Institute of Technology under their aerospace engineering programs. At RIT, I got into the mechanical engineering technology program (keep in mind AE is very similar to mechanical engineering)) but I got right into Clarkson's Aerospace engineering program. The problem is, I dont know what I should do. You see I could take the risk and go to RIT and hope I do good enough to be considered for a transfer to AE, on the other hand I could go to Clarkson and right away start studying my major. Its interesting because on my RIT app I did not apply for a second major, this was 'assigned' to me. But I went to an interview with Clarkson officials and they liked me a lot.

So should I take the chance and go with RIT or be safe and stay with Clarkson? What would you do...?

I'd go with Clarkson. Little worse than the chance of wasting several tens of thousands and years of your life if you can't get onto the AE prog at the other place.

I had to deal with a similar type of situation; believe me, it's better to go with the "safer" choice, than to take a risk, especially as Nemmerle has said, a risk that could cost you massive amounts of money

Go with the safer choice. It is cheaper more guaranteed and always leaves the door open in case you decide that AE isn't for you. I have met several people that started in an engineering major and have changed over 7 times. Go with Clarkson, and find out immediately if AE is for you.

wow freaky. not only are you going for the exact major as me but i also live right by Rochester in Irondequoit. both are good colleges, but id probably lean tword clarkson since your already in the Aerospace program, unless you really like RIT then id say go for it. Me personally im going down to Florida institute of technology for their aerospace program. good luck with what ever you chose.
