Dursk;4548518I can't lay claim to completely understanding your post, Undies. I would say in response. A shield is protection. Nukes are for destruction. Russia defiance of the shield seems to be indicative of a government that intends to instigate hostilities.

Making the other guy dead, (well technically the capability and available will to do so,) is your protection when you walk into a room where people are out to get you, just as it's their protection from you. Russia and America have been able to live with each other for the past sixty odd years because of the fact they both have big guns. Russia is justifiably worried that America intends to upset that balance of power.

Should countries back insurgents....Is this not tampering?

Of course not, but if you take a look at the Afgan war in the 80's the Americans supplied the Taliban. But now it's the Russians who supply the Tabliban in the present war, ironic eh?

Yeah you're so god damn right, Russians sooo gonna turn back to those flithy commie assholes and send thousands of troops in and nuke the world! Yeah, that's genious you should be voted in for president! Face it, that wont happen. Russia may be a bit old skool but it knows not to mass with Europe.

F’k Putin! What an a’hole. When I first saw this guy on TV after he took power I knew he and his “cabinet” would be trouble. He’s KGB first and foremost. He envisions a Russia that was and wants to reclaim borders in hopes of a new Soviet regime despite what he tells or has his cronies convey to the world. He’s just itching for the US or some other nation to pull his chain so he can justify further action. He is fully aware that an Obama or McCain presidency lacks the motivation and ability to stop him…especially given that our troops are “not available” to handle any ground mobilization against him. Any air strike from us will get the dust off those ol’ nukes of his.

Hey, you remember the Japs in WW2? Yeah? They killed alot of Americans. You want to know why? Because they were the masters of jungle warfare, tactics beat techknowledgy. Your whole ingorance doesn't belong in the pub, I suggest you try and say something more intellectual other than "lulz Amer1ca teh win!!11" because that's what I've been seeing around here with you. And of course, besides you throwing an insult Russia would no dare attack Europe without being ready to pay for it. We live in a modern world were things are fought over the stock market rather than a gun.

if McCain were to be president he would run into a prob but if Obama becomes president that would be ringing the dinner bell for every nation that hates America to gain strength and attack. (Iran, tons of the middle eastern nations join in with iran, russia, north korea, venezuela/cuba, possibly china) put it this way OBAMA WANTS TO TURN THIS NATION INTO A GIANT VAGINA.

They surrendered because they were fighting three major allied nations and were nuked, the Japs could of kept fighting for alot longer and were damn close to doing so anyway before Americans killed thousands of civilians. So, you won by killing innocents in the end, how almighty of you there, well done. Seriously, you need to get a world check, the world does not care about what America does here, or what it did there can you not say something without going on about how awesome America is just for once? Also, there is something called an edit button.

I realise the popular image of European history is that of a collection of cute fluffy people who sat around being dreadfully quaint, however up until around the Great War European militaries were composed of stone cold nationalistic killers who had collectively conquered over a quarter of the planet to popular acclaim back home. The only reason European powers hadn't gone out to conquer any more territory was because there simply wasn't anything left out there that was worth having at that point.
