The other day, i was playing a game. I had two choices. Take the door or take the path. I saved and i took the door, and i died. I loaded the game again and i took the path and voila it was alright. Now, the other day, i was walking and i took a glimpse at everyone, at the people. How would life be, if we could create savegames in reality? Like, you are driving a car and you see something dangerous like a women driving quite insane and you think mmh let's save this lifepoint. And after you saved, your drive further but, she rams you completely. But you are able to reload your lifepoint and voila, you start again and you see the chick again. But now you have a choice. How would this be in life?

Life would be rather boring then. Life is pretty much similiar to a game without save points. Game over if you die.

the world would get messed up, we would prevent hitler and hitler would reload to perfect his plan, people would go back and try to stop saddam, saddam would go back and make sure he doesn't get found... you see, we would all do what we think should happen, it would become one big chaos I think

Law protection? What makes you think laws would prevent dictators to "reload"? Laws didn't prevent them gaining all the power in their country in the first place.

Life with savegames can't work, unless only one person is able to save and reload.

I prefer to face the consequences of whatever life brings, isn't that the whole point of living? ;)

It's a wonderful thought, but if everyone reloaded, the wohle damn world will be filled with people. Think of the overpopulation.

you are right about that, badhair. It's like, one person goes away and the other, the reload takes it's place.. But it's a mess.

If life were a game it would have good graphics.

I guess it depends if you were the only one with savegames.

Really I think life would be too long, it would remove all the mystery and everything would end up a little too much like Groundhog Day.

Reality Rule of Thumb: Tampering with the balance of reality usually ends up with consequences.
