Stone was called to the principal's office at Tartan Senior High School this week and told it was inappropriate to bring an adult film star to a high school dance, the Daily Dot reports.

Megan Piper, Porn Star, Can't Attend Prom With Mike Stone, School Says Interesting this kid had the stones to ask a porn star to attend his prom. I can see where the school is coming from by denying it though to make sure nothing happens that would get them into legal troubles. Thoughts...

I found the bit in the article funny about how he sent out some 700 tweets until two of them responded to him. Not sure what else to say about this though, it's not really a controversial manner, this is more of a problem if the school prevented someone from the school body going, not someone from outside it.

This does remind me somewhat of the problem with another porn star that parents got angry over after she was in a program to read to school kids.

Makes sense, the pornstar gets a nice job, gets paid a lot, and the only thing she has to work towards is an orgasm.

Teachers on the other hand, have to work from 9 to 5, work overtime to correct tests, papers, exams, etc, have to deal with annoying children, and has to speak all day. Not to mention they're supposed to steer kids towards college/university, and steer them away from being a pornstar.

I'd be against having a pornstar show up too.

Hmmmm... I don't know how to respond to this story. Part of me wants to give the kid some props and say the school is going out of its way to discriminate against someone because of their profession, but at the same time I can understand the school's position. The school is certainly trying to cover its ass on this one, but that's fair I guess, they could get in trouble (more so with the community than anything else) for letting a student bring a prostitute (porn star's are hookers on camera, IMO) to prom. If I were a parent I'd be against the kid bringing a pornographic actress to prom, but part of me is thinking "damn, I should have thought of that when I went to prom," though I don't know if my Catholic highschool would have been as enthusiastic as myself.

On a separate note, the term "porn star" is thrown about rather easily these days. If she was such a "star," I shouldn't have had to look her up before posting a reply. =p

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was America. I didn't know this was a communist country.
