OK guys, I don't wanna type all of this Scientology stuff up so here are two diffrent links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/scientology for wikipedia and http://www.scientology.org/

Here's something to keep in mid as you read those two sites: Would you trust a religon created by a SCIENCE FICTION WRITER!?!:bs:That's just whacked. If their are ANY scientologists reading this than explain how in hell you can trust some (very poorly written) sci fi story, especilly the Xenu one. I think this guy must have been abduted by aliens:abduct: Or smoking a lot o pot when he wrote that sh*t.

Just my thoughts, what about yours? Keep in mind i'm not some fanatic trying to bust up this religon (if you think sci fi counts:lol:), I just don't think sci fi counts (its science FICTION! HELLO!).

Are you suggesting the other religions aren't fiction?

Dude, i'm agnostic. If I felt like I could start a vote on Christanity, but I didn't. I mean if God is God, he should have made the world instanly, not over a span of 7 days. How about that? I'm just saying that scientology is written by a science fiction writer. Key word there FICTION.

But hey, that was some :gpost:. Thanks for bringing it up.

All religions are "fiction" (we have to prove that it is true, you must "believe" in it for a reason. If people believe in Scientology (misleading name kinda, looks like a "religion" that is 100% scientificly based) then I will let them. I don't think there is any god out there but I still respect those who do. Religion can give a lot of support to people (let's not mention the religious extremist, but then any extremist is bad).

And who knows who is correct? If it turns out that there would be "a" god or anything "else" afterall then I will gladly accept it. I would have to pass away first though so for now I'll just enjoy my time here and then we will see what comes next.

Yes, but as we all know, beliving in something doesn't make it exsist (Santa, Ghosts, me having an Xbox 360, Scientologists:lol:). Odd thing is, whenever I think something will happen or turn out to be true, i'm right more than i'm wrong. That defines the odds of chance, doesn't it? Math is pretty werid with what it's able to do (computers, odds, even the chance of an particular event happening or a particular choice being made). Also, another odd math related thing is that everything comes in 2s (God and devil, cool and uncool, girl and boy). Maybe 2 is the Univere's magic number, and everything has an opposite to even things out.:uhm: By now you probley thing i'm loony, but just think about the 2 thing... OK, now tell me SERIOUSLY what you think.:kerian:

As is evolution fiction, we also have to prove it to be true. If we see a car on the road, we know it didn't 'just appear' or materialize out of nothing. We know it has a creator. Same concept except with the universe, you have to prove there was no creator to the universe until any other theory may become acceptable. Point is...Evolution=Fiction. We know nothing for sure. All we know is we are here (despite what matrix-fanboys may believe of 'cause and effect.') And i consider the theory of evolution a bit like a religion, the belief in a series of infinitely impossible chain of events sound a little unlikely. But I guess some people must have a lot of faith in that.

I voted "No, that's just BS". Sure, you could say the same about several of the "real" religions but Scientology is really taking it too far. Such an amount of brainwashing and exploitation just isn't funny.

That's a VERY good point. Untill you put that that way I absolutly never got how people could belive in God. Congradulations, you just convinced me to be religous.:doh:That's pretty cool. Still not sure which one yet. Dude I got so :0wned: just then.

But that leaves a huge paradox: Who/what made God. Than who made that. Than who made.... well you get the point. If you take the aproach than that means God isn't almighty, just created by a thing that made a thing that... well pretty much it's an infinete chain.

You contradicted yourself by that statement. But the orignal thought is still very vauld. What I posted in the first para still holds true, however.

I voted maybe.

To me all religious texts are works of fiction, one more poorly written than the other (fuck, those bible writers couldnt have made it any more boring and hard to fallow..)

Everyone can believe whatever they want, just dont force it onto others, and dont hurt/kill/destroy anything.

I would have voted "Yes, but I it most likely is BS" if the poll would let me. I won't stop anymbody from believing in it but I myself don't buy it. :giggle:
