http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20050330/wl_uk_afp/sudandarfurtoll_050330125322

More than 300,000 people have died as a result of the conflict in Sudan's Darfur region, British lawmakers said in a report, a figure more than four times greater than an official UN estimate

Seriously...why are we f*cking around in Iraq when there are worse things in the world going on? :lookaround:

why should the we have to deal with every little global flashpoint? i say let the U.N. deal with it. the french, germans, and russians should send troops to quell the violence, cause, like you said, the U.S. is busy in iraq. its not like they are helping us in iraq, so why should we help with darfur. i not saying i support the iraq war very much anymore, but really, the U.N. should take more REAL responsiblity for keeping the world (relatively) peaceful

i agree whole heartedly, they get all pissy when we decide we need to protect ourselves (our for whatever reason we really when to war) and then they have the nerve to ask us to sort out the darfur situation

 I don't care about the politics right now. Besides my country is part of the coalition ;)

We should have gone in burned the target areas to the ground and then moved against the next target, over and over systematically annihilating our enemies from the face of the earth. We don't have the resources to hold the ground so we don't take it we just deny it to our enemies. Of course we'd have to screw with the media so no-one found out it was us but that's easy enough. None of this pussy footing around causality figures, we go in do the job and go home.
