We all know that the current people that control the sales of drugs are those junkies and such, in which they do not handle properly and causes trouble to the public. So if we legalize drugs, the government will be the one that controls the drug sales, and will only be sold through certain clinics and hospitals and only at the moments where they really must be used. That way, drugs will be more well handled, and there will be less to no drug addicts around. What do you think?

I get the idea behind the question I just dont think its a good one....

But even tho its illegal right now, nobody cares and does it anyway, so I dont think there would be a significant jump in the amount of drug users if it was legalized. Legal or not, it still screws up your body...

While we are at it, people murder alot also, can we legalize that? People molest children, should we legalize that?

It would never work. You can't put illegal drugs into a pharmacy and expect people to go there and get them. They are still going to get them from other sources.

I was just wondering, even though smoking is less dangerous than hard drugs, whats the difference if you smoke the regular tobacco, or coke? You get addicted to coke, so you get addicted to smoking tobacco products. But you get more hurt smoking cocaine than tobacco, so many more people die from smoking tobacco than coke.

Anyways, I say no to legalising it.

If drugs were legalised, then it would be as if saying that theres nothing wrong with them, and if they're legal then you aren't breaking the law and therefore in the eyes of most, doing nothing wrong. If the example we're going to set to people is that drugs are fine and you can get high all you want, then we're going to have some seriously screwed up generations to come. Its like saying 'lets legalise the usage of nuclear missiles in order to solve minor disputes at supermarket counters', it just wouldn't work.
