2009-2010 Bill 56: Profanity - South Carolina Legislature Online

I am shocked and appalled that this has even been suggested, then I realized what state it was suggested in. Nevermind. ;)

This is a load of doodie poop.*

Yeah I said the United States. So what are you getting at?

Profanity is just a word like everything else. Some of these swear words like Fuck did not even come from anything bad so I do not know why it is bad. People just want to inflate things out of proportion. Maybe it is because we need to have some extremes to spice up our boring lives.

Yes, because laws that keep immoral things in check work sooo well. I.e. Prohibition, when are people going to realize that they can't change people if they change a law? I'm guessing that some "upright folk" lobbied hard for this stupid law.

I would rather have someone swear at me than try to kill me. And if I dropped a dumbell on my foot I want to be able to say every single expletive I know, because it makes my foot hurt less. <3

AeroflotI bet it was those damn atheists too

Oh yeah, definitely. =p

I'm sick of both sides. It's either Aethist's whining about the use of the word "God" or religious people whining about "immoral" things being in abundance in our country.
