If I was Neo-Nazi I'd say yes... but I ain't a neo-nazi, so I say no.

I find this thread very disgustingly offensive.

You mean tax people who are overweight? I'd say no. I say this simply because someone who'd vote yes, is being stereotype. People someone has a problem with those overweight, they deem it necessary to tax them. By that reason, people who had a problem with others who were too slim (size zero)? could also ask that they be taxed. People who were homophobic would request a tax on homosexual people, people who were racist would request a tax on black people. The list goes on. To fight weight, the government needs to get rid of McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, etc.

I think it's a pretty cool tax to impose. It is offensive but the results of this law would be something I think everybody would like to see.

I find this interesting.

Its one of the things we were talking about at college (I'm a debater :P ) and apparently the uk gov are considering it.

ds girl;4745539apparently the uk gov are considering it.

Even if true, and they were considering it, I doubt very much that they'd get the approval to put this into action. It would be unethical to tax someone because of their size and weight, just as it would be to single out any type of person, and tax them for any other reason.

Why don't we have a "white people" tax - after all, we waste billions of dollars on sunscreen, we should be forced to give some of that back to society, right?
