I have a question for you.

Why by such expensive poison when there are much cheaper and faster alternatives available?

Because it gives you a kick when you slowly kill yourself with it? I don't know, it might be more useful to ask some smokers.

I smoke cause it calms my nerves. I live in a house with 3 women and a two year old kid, plus another ten year old comes up on weekends. Stressed to the max, but a cigarette calms me down quite a bit.

yes i believe smoking is to calm the nerves. and if i think correctly if you use something like cocaine it blocks transport molecules and dopamine fires off your receptors making you feel happy.

The exspense is a trumped up thing, then the damn states use the money for schalorships and who knows what else. I smoke "American spirit" brand in the dark blue can, 100% no additives and all grown in USA. I went from 2 packs a day to 1, and about 9bucks a week from 9 bucks a day, I make a cig each time I smoke one and it is my plan to quit slowly. superior tobaco too, man it hardly burns your eyes if you get the end smoke in them. Regular tobaco uses amonia which makes the nicotine instantly hit your system, and that feeling is what keeps you really hooked. This stuff I get don't have any of the 400 proven additives as the brandname packs they sell for about 5 bucks a pack now. I started smoking because it was cool, no not adds on TV, or joe camel like the do gooder liberals banned. If anyone wants the thing that god provided get American Spirit brand in the dark blue can. Use "Top" 100mm light filter tubes and it is the best smoking I ever had.

Yes, damn those states for making smokers have to pay for lung cancer research and emphysema treatments.

I feel sorry for the two-year-old. I really do.

I'm against smoking, and it pisses me off a bit when I'm sitting right next to a smoker. If they want to though, there's no stopping them. Just eh, not around me. I find it kind of sad when people smoke in the house around kids and such. My dad smokes... but at least he goes outside to do so.

Am I not getting the joke somewhere...?

Just ironic (if the above posts are true), smokers are paying to stop lung cancer, while they are causing it as well.

Archmage Cleps;4203514I feel sorry for the two-year-old. I really do.

Just because he smokes doesn't mean he's puffing wads of smoke into the baby's face. Maybe he goes outside to smoke, or somewhere else.

I smoke Al Capone's, cognac dipped cigarillos.

Why? I like the taste. I don't like cigarettes, but I enjoy cigarillos and cigars. It's just a completely different smoking experience than a cigarette since you don't usually inhale the smoke. It's also not half as addictive as cigarettes. I'm not saying it's better to smoke cigarillos than cigarettes, or endorsing to smoke at all, but to get back to the original topic: There are plenty of other things to moan about, don't you have better topics to discuss? Same principle.

You're 15, and most likely haven't ever smoked before. Ergo, you're argueing an opinion without any experience of the topic you're discussing, but rather just spout out the usual poison routine.

I tried cigarettes, and I hated them. Never in my life would I take up smoking cigarettes. Most smokers will even tell you not to start smoking. The problem is that curiosity is mostly stronger.

In the end, smoking is everyone's choice. We get told it's bad. We know it's bad. Why do we do it anyway? Because we like it.
