lord saberYou must have read into something that wasn't there. I only said that doctors are human, and not robots. So, explain where that is wrong. Are doctors robots?

I'll wait for your answer. -lord saber

Mast3rofPuppets Second, Aeg, a gun is a tool if death, a guns only purpose is to kill someone.
not true. guns are made for more things than that. they can be used for, sport, self-defense, and hunting. i personally use guns for target practice. it helps with keeping my hands and arm steady and my eyes and all that stuff.
Do you think that the reason because the gun violence is much higher in the states than in Europe is a coincidence?

perhaps it is, perhaps it isnt. here is a fun fact, CRIMINALS SHOOT PEOPLE, normal people dont... also, banning guns doesnt solve the problem. no, it only makes it worse. the black market is all over the world. if you have enough money or the right connections, you can get a gun. if i wanted to, i could buy an M16 in Britian. all you have to do is know the right people. there are also many crimes and horrible things prevented by guns here in the States... but of course, no body hears about that. guns are not the problem. criminals are. if there were no criminals, there would be almost no gun violence. almost no violence in any form for that matter. i dont know about you, but instead of taking guns away, i'd rather handle the ethic and moral problem that plague our world. its at the core of all problems.

First, I havn't said I wanted US to ban guns, and I frankly don't care, because I doesn't live there :p.

Aeg guns are not the problem. criminals are. if there were no criminals, there would be almost no gun violence. almost no violence in any form for that matter.

Criminals has always existed and will always exist. There's nothing you can do to terminate criminality. Guns are just tools to make thier "job" easier. Just like a powertool for a craftsman.

Would you rob a bank with a kitchen knife? I think not. Making crimes is so much easier with firearms. Yes, guns does have some pros, but the cons outwieght them so much it aint even funny.

You can shoot for practice here too, I used to do it a few years ago (with .22's). If you want self defence, join the National Guard.

i was refering to JP on the ban....

your points are good Puppet.... but what happens if only the criminals have the guns? what does the adverage citizen do? only reason people die in their own homes is lack of seldefense.

indeed guns can kill people but usually not. If we ban guns you can still kill people with knives, pills, drugs, and even sporks. So a "gun ban" would not make much of a difference, as people would find other ways to kill.

Lack of self-defence doesn't kill people in their homes, criminals kill people in their homes...

Guns are far more effective than most alternatives, and they're also quick and easy to get a hold of (at least at the moment). Not to mention that it's a lot less stressful to shoot someone than to stab them to death. I think it'd make a big difference, actually, as long as the gun ban somehow stopped people from getting guns through other means (I don't doubt for a second that a gun ban would reduce the number of guns in the hands of people, or that it'd be a good bit harder to get a gun if there was a ban on them, mind).

Yeah, I suppose you're right. Let's ban knives, pills, drugs, and sporks. :p -lord saber I'm j.k! ;)
