Sometimes the little things make us all get upset. To me this isn't something little, but to some it just may be. I am really doing this to blow the steam that keeps building up inside of myself.

Today the 9th Circuit Courts are going to hear testimony and make a decision on whether or not "Under God" will remain part of the American Pledge of Allegiance. The fact that Newdow (the single gentleman who has brought this situation to everyone's attention) makes me only wonder where today's society is going. the AP polled over 200,000 Americans on there opinion and 87% believe it should remain part of the pledge, yet this single man may remove something that the majority of the country feel should remain.

I can't even believe that this topic has gone on as long as it has. What sickens me the most about this entire thing is how the Demoractic Party has supported this man. How the ACLU (a democratic organization) has supported this man as well. I am a Republican, yet I have always been for whomever I personally believe is the better man. Yet after this, my feelings aren't the same. The more research and the more I listen and watch I see nothing but wrong doing by the Democratic party.

I am not trying to tell people what political party to choose, nor am I saying you are wrong if you are a democrat. What I just want to literally beg people is to know what they "believe in." The majority of people in our society who chose a political party to follow ONLY do so because of influence. Usually because of what there parents are and the household the grew up in. As Americans you get the right to choose, yet influence wins out more time than true heart felt decisions.

Do some research if you don't want to believe what I have to say. I sit and watch our society slowly fall apart only because of a small group of people and yet all our politicians want to do is worry about how they will afford there next campaign and how they can't do something that might upset the public because "Oh, no, I can't lose votes because people might disagree even though it might benefit the country."

I believe in President Bush, not because he is a Republican, but because he goes the route that he feels is best and takes whatever consequences that the liberal media might throw back at him. I can't say I have supported him with every decision, but I know he is trying...regardless of what the media says.

I sit and watch this liberal media in our society make OUR choices for us, they make up our minds even though we are supposed to have a mind of our own. We believe what the media tells us because we feel they don't have there own opinion, yet all media platforms do. CNN, FOX NEWS, MSNBC....all these have a political agenda that they support and when you click through and watch each channel, watch the same topic being talked about and you will see the drastic differences of views and the information that they give to us. They choose which side they want and give us what that party would want us to hear. That is how the game is ran, whether you believe it or not doesn't matter to me, the facts are right in front of you on your television.

To conclude....next NEWDOW wants to go after the American Dollar. That "Under God We Trust" is not a correct manner for our Free Society to be following. Yet no where does it say what GOD....no where does it say a Christian God...it just says GOD...and in whatever belief you have, Budha, Christianity, whatever, they call there superior being....GOD...fairly self explanatory. Yet this is the closed minded thoughts of a desperate man. He only believes it talks about the Christian God because that is what the country was founded on. Us as Americans need to start standing up and not allowing these types of people to change our way of life just because they have there own agenda.

Listen, research and learn that is all I am trying to plead. Don't just believe in something or someone because you feel that they have the same basic value and political understanding as yourself. Choose because you want to make this a better country. If you haven't realized why Democrats are also known as left winged...take a gander at it....could it be because there decisions and opinions are so far beyond what most of you feel that they are sometimes considered radicals.

Maybe just let the ACLU decide for you, take away our Public parks...allow 100 year old people to drive cars around your childrens schools, let white collar criminals have better prisons with tennis courts...I mean that is what the ACLU supports. Eh, fuck it, it is only your tax money that they are so strongly speaking about and wasting, being such a radical group of democrats that couldn't make it into politics so they started this organization to put weight on politicians.

Only we can choose the path we want to take, yet sitting back and doing nothing about it, well, is it becoming the American way....cause it seems we only have 2 sides....Radicals and Extremists who set up picket signs and protest, which never gets anything done...look at the effect protesting has had...literally none. Or you can choose to blow it all off and do nothing about it because that has become the American way. Take my words to heart gentlemen, I am sure this will not be the last time you hear some of these things, not just from me.

"no where does it say a Christian God...it just says GOD...and in whatever belief you have, Budha, Christianity, whatever, they call there superior being....GOD"

Atheism.....

Free speech + a society that says there must be a god = failure, no arguments, no beliefs, the simple fact is if you say "in god we trust" you imply that there must be a god which does excludes those who choose to believe in no god...you cannot be a free society if you imply anything, no matter how trivial; the argument is very valid because of the supposed freedom of America.

I think it should stay cause it kinda defines what morals our founding fathers set this nation upon. Plus, you cant appease everyone.

To suggest you need to be religious to have morals is offensive in itself. If it's a matter of heritage, keep it. If it's a matter of religion being forced upon others, scrap it. It doesn't really matter to me. Besides the fact I'm not American, they seem like tiny little things that only the insanely patriotic would find much in them to talk about. I mean, really, all these arguments over four little words on a penny? Now if I was asked to put my hand on the Bible and swear to God I was telling the truth in a court, that's slightly different -- I'd point out that such a promise would mean nothing to me. But how many people read what's written on a coin every time they pick one up? It's like the whole BC -> BCE, AD -> CE thing. Nobody cares but the people trying to effect the changes! Whether you're religious or not doesn't matter -- it's perfectly possible for Christ to have existed whether or not he did what he's supposed to have done! Nobody seems to care that months and things are named after Gods of ancient religions! Or are we going to change them too? All it is is political correctness gone mad.

i said that the founding fathers used christian morals, not that we should. It can be classified as heritage.

BTW: I still use BC and AD, although it will piss some ppl off.

If it's heritage, I say you keep it. Some people want to get rid of the Royal family. Besides the fact that they do still do worth-while things, I think they're a part of our culture and should be kept. So I can understand things like that.

I think the argument about BC and AD is that it's unfair to make people who follow different religions entirely use our 'religious' dating system. So they've changed it to be historical instead. But as the existence of Christ is generally agreed by many historians, regardless of his supposed powers, BC and AD are just as historical. And as it doesn't change any dates, and you're still making immigrants use exactly the same event to judge the year, it doesn't make any sense... And I really can't imagine that the first thing on a Chinese person's mind on entering a foreign land would be 'oi, your dating system is offensive!'. There are more worth-while causes to fight for than these petty things...

No all kids must pledge, it si something that kids can do in like the 1st grade. I also had to do it when i got Eagle Scout. You really dont have to do it and no one is making you do it.
