On a related topic, I recently fed a newborn mouse to my friend's pet snake. By my philosophy, it is no different than abortion on a very late-term. Label that as murder, will you?

WiseBoboObviously this "collection of cells" you abortionists like to call is indeed a living baby with a heart beat for Christ's sake. Selfish pigs. All of you.

Yes, it does have a heart beat. But it cannot survive outside the mother's body. So it is only a *potential* human life. All she does is remove it. That's what's done, you know. The contents of the uterus are suctioned out. If something cannot live outside its host, I would hardly classify it as an independent life.

I hate reptiles, especially snakes. I'll take a fuzzy wuzzy mammal over a cold-blooded slithering beast anyday.

Col Jimmy Emerichow can you compare the killing of a mouse for food with the killing of human baby?

It is quite simple. They are both animals, both are warm-blooded mammals. However, the killing of an unborn human baby is for the purpose of preventing it's birth in the first place; it is unwanted. Or, in the case of stem cell usage, it is being sacrificed for a purpose more significant than the maintaining of it's existence.

You people make it sound like they abort random babies so they can do research on it...

This is not the case. Those babies are going top be aborted anyway. Why not use them for a good purpose?

I might go knock up some random chick then "accidentally" punch her in the stomach when she starts showing. That way, I can donate the fetus to science for stem cell research! Yay!

That, and the can also use left-over embryos from fertility clinics, which have zero chance of developing into a baby.

you people will say anything to justify your actions. Please define then, a "potential human life"

Really, this is absurd.

Yeah, the existance of other people who already really gave most of what they had to the world. Whereas the baby has yet to be given a chance to do this. Whats worse, other people are doing it. Ingenious. Other people kill it to help other people. SELFISH AND WRONG. Thats all it is.

okay, so...you think killing a mouse isn't murder, and neither is killing a baby, since it "an animal", but Killing other people is still wrong? WTF?!
