A suspected bomber was shot on a American Airlines flight from Columbia to Orlando today. The plane was rerouted to Miami after a man aboard (who was a US citazen) exhited strange behavior, chaseing his wife up and down the ailes of the plane. When it landed at gate 44D, he fled the plane into the jetway. Air Marshels chased him down, telling him to get down. He didn't listen. He reached into his bag to get something after yelling "I HAVE A BOMB". The Air Marshels then shot him, and he is belived to have died.

This is probley just antother unfortanite example of the goverment killing people who are the exact oposite of a terrorist, like what happened in the London Metro. This really pisses me off, but they did what they had to do in the circumstance (he said he had a bomb). I wish we didn't have to worry about bombs or hijackings anymore. This was the FIRST TIME in the history of the world that a shot was fired by a US Air Mashel. I hope it will be the last.:( This war on terror is killing more of us than them, I hope Bush comes to his senses and uses the military to defend the homeland, not fight off in some thrid world nation that could never threaten the US.

However, I have I feeling this is only going to be one of the first of the reported goverment humans rights abuses.

What do you guys think?

Just seen this on the TV News. There must be a way to disable someone without having a shoot to kill policy. Killing suspected 'terrorists' is just a vote winner with the politicians at the moment so it looks like they're doing something positive. Just my two cents.

Yeah, but so far their whole shoot to kill thing has only killed innocent civillans. There is a way to disable them without killing them known to cops as a "tazer". This "tazer" hits people and makes them fall over from a shock, but hey, what works for the cops won't work for the homeland defenders, am I right? I mean, its so much more complex to have to actually use non-lethal weapon that might not work, even though it's nver failed cops.

Yeah, I can't wait untill i'm done with college next decade and go to live in Japan. That place is all around better than the US, i've never heard of them killing civillans since WW2. I can even speak English there because most of them do speak English as a second langage.

Sorry, regardless of who that guy was, what a prat to shout 'I've got a bom' in an airport of all places, what the fuck was up with that? He was either on drugs, had a bomb (in which case he was hardly likely to say) or he was a complete and utter prick who felt it funny.

Edit: Funny enough for the prat to die!

He was probably mentally ill. Therefore it was the marshals fault for not recognising this, or the airlines fault for not identifying his problem and alerting the marshal about this.

Well, the thing about it is, they do think the guy forgot his medicine, or was on drugs. Wouldn't suprise me, he's coming back from COLUMBIA!!! The drug capital of the world.

He was an idiot for yelling that. He got what he deserved whether he had a bomb or not.

However I think he didnt have a bomb, because if he did he wouldnt have drawn attention to his self like that.

That is more than enough justification to kill him. Its either him dead or 20 to 30 other people dead, I would rather see him dead than 20 to 30 innocent people.

Good job Air Marshals:beer:!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4508432.stm if he was a bomber, he was a stupid bomber. Who would bomb the plane once it had landed?

Poor guy, he probably was mentally ill and didn't understand that the air marshall could kill him. If it was drugs, well, one druggie less, but I find the first scenario more likely.

EDIT:

A witness said that the man frantically ran down the aisle of the Boeing 757 and that a woman with him said he was mentally ill, the Reuters news agency reported.

Some really stupid air marshals... I hope the killer will be properly punished.
