It reminds me of that scene in "They Live" where the police bulldoze the tent city.

Well they said at the end of the first video that homeless shelters are available so those people can't really complain if they are evicted from a place they have no right to be in the first place.

Tent cities are common in larger cities. Sometimes they arise because there's not enough room in homeless shelters. They shouldn't be permanent or even semi permanent just on the basis of the health risk of having a large number of people living in close proximity without proper sanitary conditions. At the very least, requiring the encampments to move regularly decreases some of the health risk.

I find it sad that there actually are tent cities made of homeless people in the first place. Homelessness is everyone's problem, not just homeless people's themselves.
