Im aware that the liberal media is smearing the President with their negative coverage of gas prices. Negative and suspect coverage of “higher” gas prices I might add, because gas might not be that high anyways. Just because a few hippies cant afford it doesn’t mean hard working Americans cant. The cost of living is on the rise, welcome to America. The best way to get yourself out of a hole in the ground, is to obtain an education and a better paying job. Bush has taken initiative with his no-child left behind policies, and hopefully he will grant the oil companies tax breaks in the future. If the oil companies are making record profits, more power to them. That's a testament to good business management. If everyone was truly pissed off about the higher prices, then they wouldnt buy gasoline. No one's making you buy it, just don't buy it if you honestly feel like you're being "ripped" off. That's why I think this is all nothing, but whining I'm seeing coming from the usual suspects; the liberal media outlets. Again they take up their combined crusade to point the finger at everyone else but themselves. Typical desparate behavior from a failed ideology. It's disgusting. I am hopeful that the prices continue to rise, I think its wonderful that we live in a nation to which success is rewarded. That’s what makes this country so great. ;)

We are paying too little for that ressources, for what I've heard, anyway, the prices will keep on going up, especially with the future lacks of fuel.

No child left behind was actually brought by Ted Kennedy (again, from what I've heard). Bah, I could go on.

Yawn, boring, useless and yet another attempt at bashing "liberals". Have you got anything left to do?

jeff & eddieBush has taken initiative with his no-child left behind policies[/quote]...which simply causes more schools to close because they dont have the funding to meet the "standards", which overcrowds schools, adding undue stress to teachers, which causes children's grades to slip, which causes lower grades, which causes the closing of more schools... Familiar with the term "viscious cycle"?

A testament to price gouging, maybe. That's kind of... hmm... illegal.

Yes, let's praise living in a nation where businesses take advantage of the average Joe. I'll drink to that!

People buy the gas because they need it. They'll buy a bit less, but for the longer distances you need a car, or an other kind of motor-transportation. It's as simple as that.

Some people need gas as much as they need their feet, with your lovely "minimum wage" you got there in the US, many of those hard working americans can hardly afford to pay for gas, while getting by is hard enough by itself.

As for getting a higher education, you need alot of people doing simple jobs as well, if gas prises keep rising, they wont be able to get to work, and the economy will suffer greatly.

seriously, whose alt are you? You are to idiotic for it not to be on purpose.

gas prices are right about where they SHOULD be, going off of what OPEC is selling a barrel of oil for.......

Do you know how much Exxon Mobil makes off of every $1 of gas they sell??? 8.2%........or roughly around $.12 a gallon, the rest goes back into production, refignment, trasnportation, taxes, etc.....

if you want to bitch about gas, bitch to OPEC, China, and others.........the gas companies DO NOT DETERMINE how much gas costs......

I definetely agree with that. People need to buy cars that they actually need. Things like Hummers, which are more off-terrain, are just bad for gas prices. They need so much gas, they can get quite expensive. Sure they look cool, but other than that... Personally, I think we should just work hard at finding alternative means of car power. It would probably be a lot cheaper than gas.

Good for them, a company is in business to make a profit, no profit and they stop making their products.......
