I have beer on my mind at the moment, and soon enough will have a nice cold one in my hands. But I'm not thinking "don't care what it is, lets drink!", no I am thinking along the lines of "I really like beer, and I am looking to try some different kinds".
What beer do you drink? What kind of beer drinker are you?
I started drinking "Molson, Canadian Ice", and then I went to "budwieser" and have never really changed that. I always buy/bring a case of bud. Don't get me wrong, I have tried other beers, like coors-light, labbat blue and the list goes on. When I go out and someone offers me a beer I don't refuse just because they might not have bud (however, bud is found everywhere). I tried Guinness once, and my taste buds didn't agree, but that was a while ago.
I have decided to experiment in search for a new beer to call my own. I am going to start with Sam Adams. Let this beer trek begin, because I am going to boldly go, where many fellow man have gone before!
Anyway, lets here your beer info/bio/tales. Talk beer here.
(no kids please with your omfg I got teh drunk with teh beer!!).
I didn't make it!
I didn't start drinking beer until recently, like three months ago, but so far the only beer I really like is Heineken and Budweiser.

I have a buddy that drinks Heineken. In fact that is all he will drink. I tried it once, but I don't remember the taste. I didn't like it then, but that was about 4 years ago. I've been meaning to take another drink of the Heine, but have never got around to it. *adds to list*.
I drink mostly König Pilsener, sometimes Bitburger or Stauder. Apart from that there are few other beers which I like: Pilsner Urquell (my favourite, but as it is a bit more expensive so I dont buy it that often), Budvar (the original Budweiser, not the American clone) or Grolsch.
I recently visited Europe for 2 weeks and I had beer with basically every meal, so I had a chance to have some fine beer... The best beer hands down is 'Brugse Tripel', made in Brugge, Belguim! There is no contest! Heineken was also pretty good, which I had with Rob in Leiden. I also had a variety of Pilsners, like Berliner Pilsner(while in Berlin), Darmstadter Pilsner, and a few others. Those Germans love their Pilsner...I had Lowenbrau...a German beer, while in Bayeux, Normandy. That was ok. There were lots of others... ...but by far my heart belongs to Brugse Tripel! (im not counting all the microbreweries, and bud i've had here :p they just dont count! ;))
Guiness for me.
For a summer day I like Sam Adams Summer ale or a Corona with a lime. If I am in the mood for a cheap /light beer I like Miller Light or Miller MGD. Sample a few flavors of Sams there is one you are bound to like.
I really do not like Bud or Coors. Bud has an aftertaste I don't like and Coors just taste like water. If you like the nutty beers there are many of them to choose from.
You know what else I was thinking about.
Does anyone here make their own brew or have ever tried to? I've drunken home brew before, and well I guess it depends on the brewer. He's going to brew it to his tastes.

Yea, I will. I've been hearing good things about Sam Adams.
I also like the sounds of those European beers. I'm glad there is plenty of time.
You must try the chocolate beer! I love it! http://www.beerliquors.com/buy/beer/samuel_adams.htm
I'll be joining ya when I wake up
Just wondered while looking at this copper kettle, what do you think about beer from plastic bottles? I never actually tried it but I find the very idea disgusting. Beer belongs in a glass-bottle or barrel :) Over here you can buy little 5-litre aluminiumbarrels of beer, those are great for BBQs (going to open one in 30 minutes actually :) ).
