Ack, I have been very sick of movies made and released in the U.S. lately. Frankly, they are trash, I have noticed over the past few years that the majority of American movies are simply bad. And whats worse, is the public likes them. The movie You Got Served was the WORST thing I have ever seen, and most of the reviews I read were actually good. Ugh, I need some consolation, what are your thoughts.

Modern movies are mostly about digital effects, gore, and violence, not any storyline to most. Though admitedly, there are a few exceptions (The Matrix, The Ring).

Modern movies are the way I like them. I like to go in a movie, be entertained and see a lot of lame B grade action/scifi movies

The public gets what the public wants, its market forces. So the cinema of a country can to a certain extent reflect the society of the country its intended to be shown in. Hollywood compared with Bollywood for example

yeah, the stories get thin.

i think, by watching the previews, that only a blind and deaf man would not be able to tell that was the crappiest movie ever...

."you just got served, a big plate load of CRAP!" should have been the tagline.

Check out Donnie Darko and Secretary. They're both low-budget, oddball movies that happen to be really good. (Secretary is NOT for everyone, but if you can hack it, it's the best rom com you'll ever see, simply because it's original.)

It's a matter of opinion. Believe it or not, just because you think a movie is bad, it does not mean it is so and everyone else is wrong. It just means it is so for you. The companies that produce movies will only do so if they think it will make money. If lots of people like violent films then lots of violent films will be made. As gamers, I don't think you can complain all that much in this regard. When the masses are actually intelligent, perhaps intelligent movies will become popular. I doubt it though. This is the capitalist society we've built for ourselves, if you don't like it, move to China or North Korea.
