ahhhhhhh this topic always fuels people's souls anyways do you consider yourselff and enviromentalist if not why and if, why? i consider myself a hardcore tree cutter, who cares about the animals? were the most dominant species and we are ahead of everything else. My belief in creation is so that there is no fragile ecosystems!
I'm not an environmentalist, but I do realise that sooner or later we're going to do some real damage. Its not just about ozone or pollution, its about ecosystems and things. Basically, there's so much that is interconnected, and so many chemicals and pollutants that simply don't go away, that all it makes is the slightest compromise in the food chains and we're in serious trouble. Sure, we can stop eating it - but what about the animals that prey upon them? And those that prey on them? And then the whole structure is broken down. It's all too easy to just assume that when we dump radioactive materials and things they are just going to go away, but they really don't. Stuff like trees is one thing - they grow back - , and there's even evidence that the whole 'global warming' phenomenon is simply natural climate change. But you can't forget that the amount of crap we produce and simply dump, bury or sink that will sooner or later do serious harm to the world.
When that finally happens, we'll know how dominant we really are. I like to think I care, but I don't recycle, I don't protest, I don't even read news that involves Greenpeace. I think its as much people like me, who are plain lazy, as those who are actually pouring waste into the sky and levelling the rainforests, who are going to sit back till its too late. Destroying the planet is good going for a species that's only been around for a few blinks of an eye... its a good legacy to have. To borrow a line from Bill Hicks - we're a virus with shoes. :p
There might not be a fragile eco system, but if you smash it up with a sledgehammer you're just as likely to die as the next animal, so either you have a FLT drive in you garden or you'd better start being a bit more careful. Besides which, there are hundreds of thousands of undiscovered species in the rainforests, now while not exactly my cup of tea, this is one of the last unexplored frontiers, I wouldn't take the unknown away from anybody its the most beautiful thing you will ever find.
lol ok random question here just to prove my point if ur an enviromentalist r u also for abortion? i could go on a rant but i wanna express my opinion logically
Yes I' am for abortion. My reasons for it are, - It is wrong to bring an unwanted person into the world - It might ruin the parent's lives (although it could be argued they should have been a bit more careful) - This person would take up more of our valuable and limited resources for no reason - They are a potential problem to society - The majority of teenage pregnancies are born into council dependencies who's parents will then go on to get a council house and benefits without ever contributing to the community, the children will then go on to be teenage parents add infinitum. - It is kinder to not condemn them to a children's home or to be taken into "care."

you are delusional man, there would be no oxygen left if there were no trees , we pollute the atmosphere be releasing carbondioxide which the plants convert into oxygen
We do not have a tree problem. Don't let yourself think that.
Recycling is bad for the environment. I will write out why tommorow because it is a paper I wrote for Language Arts.

i didnot say we have a tree problem now, but we are not the last inhabitants
of this planet , there are going to be future generations
if we are reckless we may have a tree problem in the future,
because there was no oxygen to begin with on earth all the oxygen we have now is due to the plants , we gotta preserve them for us to survive
The only thing I do is put recyclables where they should go and always put rubbish in the bin ;)
yod@ there would be no oxygen left if there were no trees , we pollute the atmosphere be releasing carbondioxide which the plants convert into oxygen
THe vast majority of Oxygen in our atmosphere comes from the ocean, not trees. Less trees would reduce the O in planet, but not enough to harm us. But trees do more than make O, they help clean our enviornment.
