forcing employers to do stuff violates property rights because it's basically saying that their business is not their property, but rather that it is at the whims of the state.

Not really. Employers are forced to do a lot of things. For starters, they're forced to provide certain levels of working conditions, and they're forced to pay employee's certian amounts of money.

I think the better question is to what end can they be forced into doing something?

all the things you mention i would also classify as violating property rights...though like I said, it isn't like it's stopped them before, look at income tax for instance.

See, I think in Switerland at least, there is Paternity leave, and they haven't imploded yet.

I love how feminists whine that women are paid less. Let's look at the facts - -Men generally work more overtime -Men generally have longer careers -The majority of the nasty, dangerous jobs, like garbage collecting, are done by men. -The vast majority of work related deaths happen to men And feminists still believe that women get the short end of the stick?

I support the equality of men and women, but also notice that they are different (of course). I don't expect women to do conscription service, in a time of crisis we need them at the home front.

Studies show that in Finland a woman gets 80 % from exactly the same job in the same conditions as a man, no matter of working over-time amounts etc. If a woman does the same job as a man, she must get same amount of money out from it. There's no way to dodge this.

If those are facts, then lets see some sources.

http://www.idph.state.il.us/public/press05/8.25.05.htm (BTW - I find it amazing that this fact surprised you. How many women did you expect to find working on a skyscraper, or handling explosives?) I found an interesting link here - which may explain why men work more overtime - http://aolsvc.health.webmd.aol.com/content/article/124/115767.htm

Nothing surprises me. I just didn't want you running around claiming something without backing up it up.
