Aerilon;5620272I think Religious Education (or Religious Studies as it were) is wrong to teach in schools. It wouldn't be so bad if it covered Religion as a whole, maybe in some countries it does, but when I went to school, it was only ever Christianity. That's a bit one-sided.

I meant Roaming East. But yeah, it does seem an enormous waste of time - most of the people I've talked to can't remember anything important from it.

Frankly I think they should cut it out and fold the more worthwhile elements of it into a philosophy lesson. Certain basic aspects of philosophy such as evidence based reasoning are part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma - which seems vastly more worthwhile than our current A Level system. May as well steal the good ideas....
