My Mum is the head teaching assistant at a secondary school, and at a primary before that. She works with "troubled" kids, so I know what kind of thing you're talking about. This is, sadly, the state of todays youth. With the internet and TV becoming more and more commonplace (if that were possible) it's only going to get worse. I say bring back the paddle, or the belt, or the Bat'leth, or whatever. Luckily I'm just old enough that if they did bring corporal punishment back, I wouldn't be on the receiving end :naughty: So long, suckers!

Kids these days have no respect. I remember back when I was 4-5 that if I did something bad, I'd get in shit, there'd be threat of force or something I'd fear. Kids nowadays get away with murder (so to speak), there's no discipline from the parents. I wouldnt blame the parents so much as society and the advances in technology and mass communication, for example these kids have cell phones taped to their heads and seem to always be talking on them.

Why cant things be like the old days? Threat of force or even corporeal punishment itself worked. Sure there were people who went too far, but some guidelines to a spanking or even the strap could curb these bastard children.

I hate kids at the best of times but when some 10ish year old comes up and asks me for money while i'm working then calls me a "fucking asshole" when i ell the little punk to piss off only deepens my resolve. I think the problem lies within the laws and rules that we have in place. Banning ads on TV about smoking but allowing a movie like Hostel to be veiwed by anyone. They can't restrict access to films and television. You can have the most violent film but the second someone tries to put a softcore porn on TV it's not allowed. Sure i read a statistic that 45% of 12 year old girls had had some sexual experience and 100% of 15 year old boys but the scary thing was kids as young as 7 had. They blame everything; the internet, TV, movies, music, video games and schools...but never the parents. Maybe we should start punishing the parents for not teaching their kids the right things. Just an idea it certainly hasn't been tried yet.

Parents need to follow a strict lifestyle regimen, it was actually proposed in Canada that in order to be allowed to have a hild you ahve to be morally, financially, responsible, among other things.

Media is nothing to blame.

It is all about discipline and the government should stop ass-licking to the public.

The kid mouths off, he gets a smack from his parents. Hate the child-immunity bullshit that a parent can't discipline a child.

And there is a fine, fine line between physically abuse and parental discipline, one which the courts and governments sadly can't see through.

you cant blame them... its their society that they are growing around. nevertheless once they get matured, they understand right from wrong and some decide to lead a good life.

In my school,(im in 5th grade) the newbie 1st graders sometimes bang into me on purpose when they cross my way and then start swearing at me and pushing me.

Ok, they're disrespectful, but are they so brain-dead to start a fight with someone 2 times bigger than them? Because I always have to punch them in the face very hard first before they understand they shouldn't do such things.

Most of the times they say then 'I'm going to go get my brother and he will beat you to bits', which is stupid too, because, either their brothers are still younger than me and they lose, or their brothers are my age or older, which means the brother will go punch his younger brother in the face because of his disrespect towards me or any other 5th/6th grader, because in those two last grades, we all know each other and we're practically all buddies of each other. So either way, they lose.

So i still didn't break the mistery of their stupid behaviour, but 1 cause is for sure: and that is lack of proper education...

You're a kid still.

No you don't. Mature people understand that violence isn't the answer. Ever tried just walking away?

You seem very violent and a little cocky by saying they'll lose because they're not bigger than you. A Wombat is much smaller than a car but if you hit one (while drving) you're as good as dead and the wombat will just shrug it off.

So it would seem...Spelling and English would be good stops...

Kid's are until 12 year old, then it's adolecents or teens...

And YES i HAVE tried walking away: Doesnt help. Talking? Doesnt help. I have tried all 'civilized' manners to do this believe me, because im not a violent person at all...

They're not only smaller than me, but they can't fight either. Are you at my school? I didn't think so. :)

Any of you guys ever catch that show "My Super Sweet Sixteen". Good God is to think these parents are willing to throw away tens of thousands of dollars to make a little douchebag happy. I am surprised that the parents of the kids are so willing to let their failures in child rearing be shown on TV.
