I have become convinced that the matrix is real. Point and laugh all you like, it's true. Why have I become convinced of this? Well look, think about it. No matter what you do, you really do not, in all honesty, have control over what happens in yours or anybody elses life. You may think you do, but you really do not. If you think you caused something, you really just wanted something to happen, and it turned out it did. If you failed to do something, you simply wanted something to happen that wasn't programed, or meant to. Think about that one for a while.

Do you ever get the sense that this is not all there is? Honestly, can "real life" really suck this badly? Are we missing something? Why do we get that feeling that we should be somewhere other than where we are? I know it's not just me that feels this way. If you honestly think about it, you will come to the same conclusion.

Someone get me out of here.

Im surprised to hear this from a religious person..

I have thought about it, even before the matrix came out. And its possible its all a fake, but.. If it is, chances are humanity wont find out in our lifetime. So why worry if you cant help it, just try and make the best of things, till the day you die, whenever that may be.

I think i have controll over my life, if i did not believe i did, i'd find it pretty depressing.

The only matrix I believe in is the homework I'm supposed to be doing right now...

Ahh, those were the days.

But I thought matricies were easy. Hop to it, young one. As we all know, not doing your math homework will give you crap grades. And with crap grades you can't go to college. And if you can't go to college, you won't get a job you like. And if you don't like your job, then you will die a lonesome, painful, miserable death!

But if you just do it, then you'll be drinking 40 ounce bottles of liquor with hot women in a hot-tub until you are too ridden with arthritis to move.

Yes, I did my homewrok in class, who needs notes when you know the material? But if you need to have 4.0 GPA all years, then I am not getting into USMA(Class o' 2012), maybe go to normal college, then get some OTS...

I thought that was the hole that religion was supposed to fill. And I know you're religious. Hmmm...

My GPA was a 3.65, you don't need GPA to get into West Point. And I hope you mean OCS. Its Officer Candidate School, not Officer Training School. :D

The closest I ever saw to a 4.0 in high school was my blood alcohol level. A wrestling coach

D.Sporky! No matter what you do, you really do not, in all honesty, have control over what happens in yours or anybody elses life. You may think you do, but you really do not.

How do you work that out?

If you think you caused something, you really just wanted something to happen, and it turned out it did.

With no input from you whatsoever? That's what I'm having difficulty with. It seems to me that having a level of influence on the world (however low) is an undeniable part of reality, unless you mean you have no control over your own actions, for which there is no real evidence.
