Right, I've seen quite a few posts recently about Iraq, Iran, the US, and now Russia.

Just A few: http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=229163 http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=228855 http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=229251 http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=228288 http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=227649 A while back (this is going to seem pure speculation) but I posted a thread on some dead guy, that supposably could predict the future. Now his 'theory' was that There would be one near 2006 / 2007 that would end in 2026 (quite a long war). Anyhow, I can't remember the full story as a friend told me (she is into all that kinda stuff). - Regardless, these recent happenings are (I think) to be taken more seriously. This guy was suppose to have predicted WWI, WWII & 9/11 too... Your thoughts? - I'll add the 'proper / more detailed version' when I get chance to speak to the friend later on.

I would imagine you're talking about Nostradamus, and he's a sham. There won't be a big war soon.

Thats the guy, Frenchman right? And I do hope you are right about their not being another war, and him being a 'sham'... Though I do question some of his predictions...

There might be a world war,but doubt it would last 20 years. 20 minutes is more likely.

Each one of Nostradamus' predictions can be interpreted in various ways, no matter the fact that some predictions have been used time and again for different events.

There's no significant signs what so ever for a third world war.

I dont think so myself, there wont be a world war, maybe a large conflict, but more than that?

All the major powers depend economicly(sp?) on eachother, to defeat your neighbour is to kick yourself in the nuts.

'[CoUkniu']There might be a world war,but doubt it would last 20 years. 20 minutes is more likely.

The shortest war in history. And the last. Wouldn't suprise me when WW3 breaks out, it's gonna happen sooner or later. Most estimates say we had a 50-50 chance of destroying the world in the 20th century, now most say we have a much lower chance of survvial. The US has started a war every 2 years since 1990 something, so if we don't start one this year we'll throw the trend off. Won't suprise me if Al Quada has a little Christmas presnet for the US up it's sleves, either. They will hit the US again by the end of the decade, i'm just guessing.

Than again, if all this climate changing keeps up, we'll be dead soon anyways. Better to go out with a bang than a wimper.

You should have asked what the odds are of us surviving this century.

'[CoUkniu']There might be a world war,but doubt it would last 20 years. 20 minutes is more likely.
Why not 20 years? Could be a Cold War or something... And maybe not a 'World War' but another War!? - What is an actual *World War* anyway? World War I & II wasn't every single country there was, there were only a few... (World War) would direct at a Global War, which we haven't really had yet.
RelanderEach one of Nostradamus' predictions can be interpreted in various ways, no matter the fact that some predictions have been used time and again for different events.
Could you give me three examples (to go on and think about)? - I don't know the bloke, but for him to say some stuff, he may have been a psychic - There are those people (even now) that are capable of doing things beyound your normal persons way of life.
RelanderThere's no significant signs what so ever for a third world war.
There is no significant signs of peace until 2026 either!
The 13th RaptorI dont think so myself, there wont be a world war, maybe a large conflict, but more than that?
As above, not a *World War* just a War...

Say all the minor countrys grew. Iraq, Iran, Korea, Afghanistan - If they had these Nukes (shared) then they could start a war, and they aren't seen as 'major powers'. One thing I don't like about the US government, (not getting at Americans) but it would seem their government has to be in total control of more or less everything, thus, if they don't get what they want by asking, they go in with the army and get it.
Won't suprise me if Al Quada has a little Christmas presnet for the US up it's sleves, either. They will hit the US again by the end of the decade, i'm just guessing.
US, UK, Spain and half a douzen other places. As you said, something is going to happen near enough to x-mas.
Than again, if all this climate changing keeps up, we'll be dead soon anyways. Better to go out with a bang than a wimper.
The climate change wont kill us all, just a lot of us. - Thus we will still be 'here' to a degree.
You should have asked what the odds are of us surviving this century.

Unfirtunatly, I didn't / don't know the bloke personally (and there is the fact he is dead)...

I heard about that guy. He was also said to have predicted that when JP II died, the world would end.

I'm still waiting.

All bogus, these "predictions" tough sadly the prospect of another big war isn't too far-fetched.
