Petey13;3886782Well being a Christian i believe in Genesis, even about God made the animals to find a suitor for Adam, and then God said that we shall rule over the animals, ie we are doing nothing wrong in my opinion. Although, i do agree that animal research for cosmetics is wrong, for medicine it is essential. We wouldn't be anywhere near the population without animal experimentation! Drugs preventing disease wouldn't be here, however many animals have been killed through research, thats a tiny percent of the human life that has been saved!
As a christian you should also not take "rule" literally, what "god said" is that we have responsibility of the planet, we are not the rulers. I mean seriously, deep deep down inside you, didn't you find it horrible when you saw that little bunny fight for it's life when that dude was just probably injecting something in it while its guts were spread out on the table?
Nemmerle;3889573If we didn't eat cows I wonder whether they would continue to exist.
if we all the sudden just now stopped raising them, i think 90% would die, because its a freaking feast for all types of predators cows have no defensive mechanism other than their size
I didn't make it!
you know that video looked more like visectionism than animal testing
"Chemix2;3887788"We were given dominion over animals so that we may care for them and protect ourselves from them when need be and if it comes down to it, eat some types of animals if we need them to survive. The animals were created before Adam, who was the second to last creation, Eve was created as the mate of Adam. We have no right to abuse animals for our own purposes.
And who told you this information, god? Hey guys, I think that the ducks of the earth have dominion over humanity because we they can fly and float a bit better than us. I'm sorry mate, but we evolved alright. We evolved from animals, as much as I would *love* to believe that we are some kind of guardian of the planet given our juridstriction by an all loving, yet cruelty permitting, being this simply does not seem to be the case. As history has shown, the exploitation of animals has been vital to our survival as a race. Cruely to animals? Yes its not very nice, but I don't lose sleep over it either.
If you're going to debate religion, do it in the religious discussion thread, if you're going to attack my post, look at what it is responding towards.

In the history of humanity there is little that hasn't at one point been necessary. If you can do something simply on the pretext that it was once necessary without reference to the present situation then you can also do any other thing that was once necessary, from where there is nothing truly immoral beyond the bounds of rationalisation.
