Well, is it possible? Do you think that sometime in the future (far future, that is), there will be time machines like in all these Science fiction books? Or will there be wormholes for us to go through? I would say no, even though there is the possibility that it could happen...

I think it will be one day. There have been so many things we thought were impossible, but which we have acieved anyway, why not timetravel?

basic AzH physics here:

if you are at point 'a' on the planet earth and travel aroud it at twice the speed of light (599,584,916 metres per second) you would arrive back at point 'a' before you left. is this time-travel?

or look here: Is Time Travel Possible?

Yes. The only problem is, nothing can go faster than light... Its like the Energizer Bunny of the Universe. However fast you go, light is still going 186,000 some-odd miles per second faster than you.

Well since there was a time when man didn't know how to make fire, now we have ovens, microwaves, matches, a lightbulb, and a better equivilent for every use fire has. For that reason I suspect that time travel is definitely possible, but which way (ie past-future/future-past) and what you could do, and due to the latter, availablility, I have no idea about. I occasionally think to myself that the second we discover time travel, the world will die. Quite simply because of some nut going in and showing nuclear missiles to the stone age, accidentally setting it off, and saying goodbye to half of the world. :p

could it be true that the people from the future are already here from time travel from that time in the future to here right now in the present... what a creepy thought....

if you read that link, it's actually very good and simply written. 4 types of time travel, all dependent upon faster than light travel. i'm sure humanity will eventually do this, even if it is through the creation of artificial blackholes to 'bend' space.

it suggests we'll be able to observe the recent past and also travel into the future. check it out. it's a worthwhile five minute read.

Yes, if we ever get faster than light, we could IN THEORY time travel. However, scientists fear that an entropy 'shield' could make this impossible.
