Jeffro;4616565United States could nuke China and Russia, but some would call that inhumane and extreme. I would call it solving a problem.

Fixed. People who only acknowledge the U.S.'s "Errors" in history are obviously ignoring the much larger "Errors" and problems occuring or that have occured in other countries...

With this comment, we see one of the many problems with this country, the problem of self hate. Jeffro, a fine example of the self hating American, blames America for the worlds problems. He fails in every respect to attach blame to anyone but our own country, our own people, and our own government. It is this failure to see the good in America and her ideals that are so dangerous to America as a whole. It is this self hate, fused with foreign policy that will eventually get more American's, and other westerners killed. It is the idea of self hate that does more to rip America down and sap her will to accomplish anything at all. In Jeffro's defense self hate springs from disenfranchisement with the system which as we all know is obviously true in his case. I have nothing wrong with this. American politics need to be reformed. This has nothing to do with bush and the republicans or the liberal talking heads of the democratic party. It has been long in coming. The problem with disenfranchisement arises when one blames the world’s calamities solely on the U.S.

And Buddy Jesus, don't take too much stock in my "nuke America" argument. The point of that was to show how ridiculous the "nuke the middle east" mentality is, but most didn't catch it. Anyways, I'll humor you and respond to your post.

You can quit putting words in my mouth, please. When did I ever say "America is to blame for the world's problems"? America is to blame for America's problems.

He fails in every respect to attach blame to anyone but our own country, our own people, and our own government.

I attach blame to the people who have turned this country into a third world consumer plantation. The corporate puppets in office, the greedy citizens, the people who buy shit they don't need with money they don't have, and turning our culture into a three ring circus. Something is seriously wrong with us socially and culturally.

Yes, we still have fragments of culture and originality left, but they are dieing. The best movies are independent films and the best music comes from the independent underground. Shouldn't it be the opposite? The best music in the limelight and the crap forced underground? Something is seriously fucked up with our culture and the damage is irreversible.

Look at Hollywood movies. Look at our Popular Culture. Listen to the rubbish that is coming out of your speakers when you turn on the radio. Turn on the tele and flip through 60 channels of nothing. Watch the mass media and realize that professionalism/objectivity is nonexistent. Eat at one of the sprawling fast food chains that take over smaller restaurants. Observe the bland, expansionist architecture. Commute 45 minutes to work from your urban sprawl. That is America. That is the mindless homogenized monster that we have created and that is now practically impossible to destroy.

It is this failure to see the good in America and her ideals that are so dangerous to America as a whole.

Her ideals were dead to me when I ripped off the wool that was covering my eyes and saw all of the bullshit plaguing it.
