Peter Navarro - an official of the White House - said of Canada and its Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau; "There’s a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump and then tries to stab him in the back on the way out the door."

For context, the "bad faith diplomacy" referred to the refusal from Trudeau to back down from retaliatory tariffs after the United States imposed its own tariffs on Canadian goods. The US has expressed similar dislike for the retaliatory tariffs from Mexico and the European Union.

Well they want isolation from the rest of the world, so why do they complain when others give them what they want?

When Donald Trump's presidency ends, he has to WALK back to New York,

He has even threatened to end all trade with allies, which would mean the literal collapse of the United States. We're talking no more movies, no more cars, no more entertainment products, a huge reduciton in certain foods.

The man is a walking National Security risk.

Also I was listening to the BBC about this (bizzarely but I was tired of CBC reporting for the day when working yesterday) and the Brits were aghast at this turn of events.  I'll paraphrase what was being said as best as I can recall:

"Can you even conceive what would happen if two years ago I told you a high ranking US advisor to the President was essentially telling the Prime Minister of Canada to go to Hell?  You would have laughed me out of the room!  We don't see this kind of behavior leveled at Canadians.  Internal state politics maybe but internationally there was always a degree of decorum.  That has vanished."

That's what you get when a country elects a spoiled wannabe-Tycoon used to getting his own way at almost every turn and who never really had to risk anything serious or actually learn anything of any value.

Not only that, but he is a professional grifter.

* Trump's own products are made in China, and he hires Mexicans to do everything else.

* Anyone remember Trump university? It got shut down for being a scam.

* There was also that Top Gear America episode about what car Trump will buy, which was all a bunch of fancy European sports cars. Trump ultimately chose the Bentley. Then, Trump runs for President, and says he is all about General Motors, all American.

Yeah. Trump is a liar and a fraud, and cannot be trusted.

Anyone remember the campaign ads of him spouting nonsense while his trump steaks were in view? All he's doing is trying to use the office to line his pockets, which is against our constitution, but the current leadership doesn't care, so long as they can do what they want with impunity.

It just goes to show that if you have enough money, you actually can buy an entire nation.
