My class at school is packed with some very shallow folks. One girl, "Regan" only treats me fairly because her friends do. All she cares about are her friends and her popularity, so she treats others not in her position like crap. One of her friends, "Mary Kate" is one of the nicest people I know. She tries not to get mad at anything and is just a very polite and good person. Then there's "Kaitlin". She used to be nice to me, now she just snaps out and says the most rude and hateful things she possibly could. One day I gave in and started crying, now she's all nice to me. I don't know what to do. How should I respond to this s**t?

I'm 14. I would actually rather beat 'em up or whatever you're thinking about.

You can confront them directly or attack them directly. For your sake, You should confront them.

Just stay away from them. They are not important enough in your life. Forget about it. I remember having kids like that in my class, when I went to school, and I just didnt talk to them. Ten years later- who cares? I just missed my 10 year class reunion- Who cares?!

Violence will never work as a viable solution to such problems. My advice to you would be to avoid conversation with whoever has the tendency to take very arrogant, snappy tones with you and who may hurt your feelings.

Kids at this age are in the very turbulent process of trying to discover their own identities and are yearning to be accepted by their peers. Have confidence in your own self and worry not what others think or say of you, even behind your back. If they know you not, then any judgements they make of you (or of eachother, for that matter) are meaningless. Try to conversing with those who you can get along with and ignore those who you do not.

Well supposing you did confront them, they could get you in trouble therefore making you more miserable so if I was you, and I must tell you, I had a situation like this at school, you either talk to them or ignore them. Talking to them is probably the best as it gives you a feeling of satisfaction as they know how you feel. Do remember, girls at that age can be very bitchya nd hurt your feelings an awful lot but dont let it get to you. Best Wishes, Natasha

dress in all black, wear eye makeup and hide in a corner and say, "f*ck you world."
