FactionReconI find myself playing games less and less each week. I usually just surf or talk to people, and that's if I'm even on my computer.

I spend most of my time out of the house, as far away from this place as possible.

Yeah, agreed FR.

I used to play Forgotten Hope very often, but now its more or less only beeing played 1-2 times during the weekend. When I'm infront of the computer, I'm usually taking part in some interesting discussion somewhere on the internet (mostly at non-Gamingforums-forums:p).

And after I turned 18 I'm pretty much out on town each weekend.

Well i agree with you on some parts Delta Force. If you buy lets say a game for pS2 where you cant play on the internet, and you are finished with it oke thats bad. But like games for racing like need for speed most wanted, you can play it on the internet. Ive bought star trek games like armada 1,2, bridge commander(star trek),...... Ive played all of them and indeed its get bored because you know everything but on PC there all things called mods and wow for star trek you got a lot like for armada 2 you got new ships, new races to fight, like a mod star trek vs starwars,.... and for bc new ships, total conversions,... the games are from 2002 and 2003 i still play them!!! i never get bored with mods and all of those things.

PenguinousSorry to be a nitpick but: Hahahahaha. That's hilarious! Halo was hardly replayable. It offered very little in the way of alternate gameplay tactices. It had very few weapons, all of which where boring. It was short. It was very linear (thats a big one for replayablity).

Ok, I'm done

Someone who never understood how good halo was:vikki:

Few weapons: Yes there were only 7 weapons(9 on the PC version) the varity of ways and combos you can use them with makes up for the lack of weapons

Short: all FPS games are about 10 to 12 hours and halo was the same. The multiplayer made it alot longer for replay value. Halo 2 has excellent xbox live which gives it near infinite playablity.

Linear- You must have stopped at the first level. There are some open ended missions in the game. Open-ened games sometimes become confusing for new gamers with no set path.

Back on-topic

I would rather see some kids wasting time in front of an xbox than viewing porn, drinking, or smoking weed. They are interactive so your thinking while movies/TV are passive. You just sit there and watch. Video games are also great social tools. A lan party, and MMO, or a good game of halo will bring people together and they usually have a good time.

then what are you doing on "gaming forums"?

Karma to you!

Games do tend to get boring, thats why I only buy pc games. I can go online and it never really gets boring, I look at what I buy and read the reviews before I buy it so that I don't regret it later on.

There is nothing wrong with gaming its like most things people have an opinion! in my opinion gaming has its pros and cons things like it makes you think and others like it damages your eyes. I'm 14 and I would like to point out to people (no one in perticular) that not all games are bad i mean alot of the war games are pointless they are the ones that are a bad influence, like for instance i played on one that part way through it started having a go at asians and germans which is not right but most games are alright i mean not all games are linear take RTS's for example you can play on them over and over and no 2 times will be exactly the same true they will get boring but thats why if you have broadband you can download mods and it will change the gameplay. I think it was on here or it might of been on TV or something someone said that gaming ruins young peoples social lives Id like to point out that i am one of those people who plays games alot but my social life has never been better the reason: at school people think im a nerd because I wear glasses this causes people not to be friends with me because the "cool" people say im a nerd so i dont have alot of friends at school you would think that would upset me it doesn't because when i get home i go on my computer and go on online games were i have lots of friends like i go on runescape and on it i have 30+ friends and on games like Dawn of War im a respected member of a clan. also I heard someone say that gamings bad for your education my history test says other wise i forgot to revise and i was on Empire Earth and it was about the stuff that was on my test and when it came to my test i got 93% so there! so gaming is bad in some ways and good in others!
