Discuss your theories of what would happen after a nuclear war, assuming humanity was not wiped out. What kind of society would remain? Would we work together to rebuild, or would we degenerate into violence and chaos where it's every man for himself in a desolate wasteland? And...here it is, in case you didn't know my motivation for posting this: War. War never changes. The Romans waged war to gather slaves and wealth. Spain built an empire from its lust for gold and territory. Hitler shaped a battered Germany into an economic superpower. But war never changes. In the 21st century, war was still waged over the resources that could be acquired. Only this time, the spoils of war were also its weapons. Petroleum and uranium. For these resources, China would invade Alaska, the US would annex Canada, and the European Commonwealth would dissolve into quarreling, bickering nation-states, bent on controlling the last remaining resources on Earth. In 2077, the storm of world war had come again. In two brief hours, most of the planet was reduced to cinders. And from the ashes of nuclear devastation, a new civilization would struggle to arise. A few were able to reach the relative safety of the large underground Vaults. Your family was part of the group that entered Vault Thirteen. Imprisoned safely behind the large Vault door, under a mountain of stone, a generation has lived without knowledge of the outside world. Life in the Vault is about to change" -Fallout
I personally believe that, assuming there was a nuclear war (which looks all too likely in the events of today's world), that society would fall apart. We would revert back to our natural ways, and chaos and anarchy would rule. Then, in maybe a few hundred years, we would rediscover civilization.
I think some people are probably gonna die, but thats just my theory.
Nuclear war? I have an answer for you. We're all screwed, no survivors, especially following the fallout and the nuclear winter. End of discussion.
that's exactly why we should all go live on the moon. or mars. definatly mars.
JP(NL)that's exactly why we should all go live on the moon. or mars. definatly mars.
I'm with JP on this one... bring millions of plants and seeds, and make mars' atmosphere livable.
Someday humans and other living creatures WILL eventually have to live on another planet anyway, you cannot remain on Earth forever...

Humanity would most likely become arranged in family groups; there would be no talk of rebuilding society because after a few generations no one would know society had ever existed, all record of the old world would have been obliterated. Who knows perhaps it would be for the best.
I would die without my life.

...precisely, not beyond 4 billions years. We have a bit of time to destroy the earth...

Holy crap, dude. That's an awesome theory you've got going there!
