I feel the war is far better then NASA, also I believe that more money of the US dolors goes to NASA and less money goes to military and health care funds.

Are you kidding? The US already spends ridiculous ammounts on it's military - far too much than necessary. And less money goes towards healthcare because it's not run by the government, isn't it (correct me if I'm wrong here)? NASA's budget is fine.

I voted both NASA and other. Personally I think the military could operate as effectively as it does now without spending half as much as it does. And I don't mean by cutting new technologies, I mean by cutting bureaucracy. IT is amazing how inefficient and ineffective the various systems for technology development are. It's all about proper organization.

As for other I think one key thing the U.S. needs is public transportation. By having effective public transportation all over the place not only would it make the environmentalists happy but more importantly it would save people a pretty penny on gas and would also create lighter traffic flow so there would be fewer traffic jams and less annoyance in that area.

I agree. Britain is doing fine in Iraq, yet look at the two budgets:

US - $532,800,000,000 for 2007 UK - $68,000,000,000 for 2007

I'm not kidding one bit.

I don't know what the point is to fire rockets in space when man was not meant to go into space in the first place, trillions of dolors are funded towards the NASA when you say the "spends ridiculous ammounts on it's military" at least the military dose something like protecting the country. I never said give it all the military thats why the poll lets you vote for more then once=p I say to use it at healthcare the most and other thing just so much money is going to NASA, and bear in mind I don't agree with most thing NASA dose, but yes they are good to have, just they take a lot of cash.

So you'd prefer the government took control of healthcare, at least in part? How socialist of you. :p

Besides, the point I was making was that the military spends too much, not that NASA needs more money. Did you look at those figures for military spending? And anyway, the whole "protecting our country" bit is debatable. To properly defend the US, all you'd need is a few missile submarines armed with a couple of nuclear missiles each. If you class fighting terrorism in the military's job as well, then add to the above a slightly better inteligence service.

I'm not talking Government owned things I'm asking people in general what they feel is better to fund weather its Government controlled or not.

and I agree with you there is a lot of cash in the military's pocket, like you said bomb those guys instead of spending money on tanks and soldiers.

I think the military funds don't need to be cut, but more needs to be put in soldiers' pockets and less in the pockets of desk workers. One is risking their life, one has been placed at a desk to fill out and come up with forms to have other people risk their life. That said, you should never have to take a desk job if you'd rather serve combat duty, and both of them should pay an annual salary above poverty level so people don't feel they have to fight to live in the military.

NASA is dropping off pretty much, they've done some good, but right now they're using outdated technology from 40 years ago and it's showing, they should get a funding boost, but on the condition that they update their entire system to be up to date, and with the new funds design a truly modern shuttle that will be much safer and more profitable rather than benefiting techs and mechanics by keeping them employed and doing the same old jobs with the same old knowledge at the potential cost of human lives.

Health Care needs a major reform, but it's far too profitable for the government to not leave it alone. As long as they are pragmatic, health care will continue to suck and people will continue to be forced to live off treatments rather than cures.

Public transportation sounds good on paper, but I'm still not sure on it, it could create traffic problems where there weren't any.
