If homosexuality is genetic, then how does that explain bisexuals? Or people that switch from heterosexuality to homosexuality in midlife?

I haven't seen any conclusive proof that homosexuality is genetic, and some studies have shown that a significant proportion of what determines orientation is linked to the environment. Also, the "gay gene" denies evolutionary theory in that it would be a genetic weakness because it lessons a persons chance of procreating and should be weeded out within 100 generations.

War HawkPeople do not choose to be gay. It is the way they were born. They cannot be cured of it, and they cannot choose to like people of the opposite sex. Honestly...who would choose to be hated by 90% of society and have numerous prejudices placed upon them?

wanna read more? specificly the sections "Are you born gay" and "Is it a choice?"
OMG someone else has been running around with my name.
I think gays should be able to get the exact same benefits than married couples under civil unions. Wether or not they should be married in christian ways is dependant only upon the religion itself (wether the particular religion is tolerant or not).

Typical from a person from Quebec, the only province to really push for SSM.

Thanks for that BTW, now we have to pay through taxes backed pensions in the name of hundreds of millions.

Komrad_B And what if we'd live in a ''homosexual'' only society, would you be able to ''control'' yourself in loving men? I know I wouldn't.

I'd sooner kill a man than have sex with him Oh god yuk.

Exactly the point. Thats why I think its just a tweak in the brain that amplifies.

I think bisexualism is definatly a choice, not a genetic thing.
