Tell here what Christmas means to you. Be it presents, religious or something else, let's hear it.
it means nothing. thank god christmas isn't as comercialised here as it is in the states.
I grew up a christian, so I think that it's the day Jesus was born or summat. dunno if I believe it, but It's something to believe in. I like the presents though, 'cept I'm poor. :(
Presents. I have a much less selfish or what ever you'd like to call it view of new year's eve, though. I really like the whole atmosphere of cold and quiet around that time.

In previous years Christmas was a great time to make a profit. As a kid, Christmas is like an annual pay-day and if your educational commitments prevent you from getting a job, it's the only time you can really stock up on money or computer parts. Last year though was the first time Christmas was unprofitable for me, so this year I'm no longer participating -- I've already told people not to bother buying me presents, as I won't get them anything. As I'm not a Christian*, that's all Christmas ever could be to me -- a time of opportunity. The opportunity has now passed, so all Christmas is to me now is a time when people put up annoying flashing lights on the front of their houses. * Not even christened. My parents were but they never mentioned religion once to me. I'm not even sure what religious beliefs my dad has. How did my great-grandmother put it when my mum told her that baby Mr. Matt wasn't going to be christened? Ah yes, "you evil bitch, he'll never be able to be buried on holy ground, and he'll burn in hell". I never liked her :D. And ironically, she'll probably end up burning in hell for all the sins she committed :clueless:. Not that I go off topic or anything.
X-mas is a christian holiday, that, I think grew so commercial that evreone else adopted it. Don't belive me? Its in the name. CHRIST-mas. Thats what its about, to me. I'm a bit sad that those who don't belive in Christ adopted it too, and its now a big commercial racket. But Oh wel. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL> Even if you don't belive...
Christmas means family, holidays and presents to me ;)
i think i'm going in anti-christmas mode this year as a protest to the commercialisation of christmas. they start the friggin' show in november where you get ads for products you didn't even knew existed. peace and goodwill amongst men is drowning in an enormous sea of advertisments catalogues from your local department store.
It means the birth of the christian lords son Jesus.
I'm way cooler than n0e (who isn't though?)
