I dont what to say. I think Im the only person who liked Bill Clinton.

Not the only person, if his antics in the Oval Office are anything to go by. :p

I said determined, charasmatic, and idealistic, in a nutshell, the Kennedy recipe. If I were to choose a leader, I would want someone who is knowledgeable, cooperative, and realistic, but I know that the nation, especially this one, would never elect someone like that. Besides, as mentioned earlier, politicians in this country aren't exactly the trustworthy type. Basically I came to my decision because of the Obama-hype. He wouldn't have won the nomination if it wasn't for him being such a charismatic person who spoke of the change people want. There is no way in hell he is going to be able to deliver everything, or half of that, but when I have seen people stop what they are doing and watch the television when Obama speaks, you have to be sure of one thing, people like politicians with the three aforementioned traits.

But what's your opinion, what are the most important qualities for a prime minister or president to have and why?

Dead and hanging from a lamp post. Why, People don't need a head of state, giving too much power to one person is a waste of a democracy.

A good political leader is like a child. They do not make preconceptions about people or events until they happen on them.

Giving power to any one person isn't democracy at all.

A singular leader is necessary for some aspects of running a country. When the shit hits the fan you need someone who can say "Listen to me, this is how it's going to be done." Because you don't have time to debate, quabble, and argue during an emergency. But for the day to day running of a country, I agree, the head of state should have little power. So seeing as I see the head as state as simply a dictator, but to a lesser degree (in the original Roman sense, look it up) who only has power during an emergency, I suppose the main thing I would want is intelligence, and a strong will. And the secondary function of a head of state should be head ambassador, so I would say an easy going personality, with good charisma is also ideal.
