A question that has eluded the finest of philosophers throughout the centuries: What is the purpose of our existence? For that matter, why do we even exist?
The 14th Dalai Lama once said:
"We are visitors on this planet. We are here for ninety or one hundred years at the very most. During that period, we must try to do something good, something useful, with our lives. If you contribute to other people's happiness, you will find the true goal, the true meaning of life."
I'm interested in hearing what your philosophies and discussions are on the meaning of life, whether it be religious or just theoretical. Why are we here and what should we do with our lives?

God got bored creating the universe so he decided to create a society of ants known as humans and put them to the test. Or we just evolved from apes and became the higher intelligence of the living, and just live out what our brains and peers tell us.
I'm athiest. But frankly I don't give a hairy shit why/how we're here. This is now, we live like slaves as Mihail said. We're pointless individuals.
oh please i would really like to discuss this but I've had to much happen to me today to get involved. Maybe tomorrow or something I can enlighten you.
I think the purpose and meaning of life is to work together and achieve and to succeed. Together we are stronger than divided. It's the hardest goal there is and thus it must be the most worthwhile.

I'm an aithiest to, but I still think that there's more to life (morally) than just being a mindless slave.

HAHA! Bullshit. I Believe that he was talking about the whole of the human race, including the few who live up on that mountain in Northern China, and the people of Himalayas, which I would assume aren't slaves to the same grind.
The meaning of life? I don't believe there is one, but one can conceive a much more artificial reason for being here, which can be found in the Dali Lama's quote.
For me meaning of life is just making ppl happy around u and doing lot of work.
