GuineaPig And we Canadians would stand to the last against him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyways. (whispers*) Don't tell bush that alberta has more oil then all the middle eastern countries combined.
 the canadian government would surrender in a heartbeat.(no offense
it does? thats not true though, the ME is known for Oil.
1. Screw it. I have repeated that this war was not about oil.
2. We should not have taken out Saddam in 1991. Why didn't we? Because the President determined that the insurgency would be too great a cost considering the benefits. Hmm... Maybe W. should respect his elders...
yes we should. people are saying he is an evil dictator. he should have been taking out when he was actually doing these acts not 10 years later.
Ya Masri, we should not have taken out Saddam and you know it.
For the reasons !moof said, insurgency, civil war etc.
i am confused now.
-DarthMaul-i am confused now. :D
I thought you were Egyptian?
yeah i am, the smily is for the Masri comment lol.
the confused part, is that i wanted him to be taken out.....We were in the first gulf war(and a couple of other arab state)
atleast you know we are called Masri and not egyptians lol.
The first Gulf War was meant to do two things:
1. Stop Saddam's invasion of Kuwait
2. Stop Saddam's general aggression in the MidEast.
All objectives were completed with huge international support and few casualties. Now that's a victory.
Well, few casualties for the Coalition.
Way too many Iraqi civillians died.
Plus the West provoked it. Saddam had warned Kuwait to face military action if it didn't force Kuwaiti oil companies to stop drilling on Iraqi soil, and they refused. The State Department told Iraq if they took action we'd see it as a 'regional matter' and not become involved.
The Gulf War was a set-up from start to finish.
Remember, the U.S. military has had plans drawn up since the oil embargo in '73 to seize all of the Persian Gulf oil fields.
