While i was at school and stuff my teacher told me a website where i could find out which candidate i am by a series of questions. Take the test if you want and see which candidate you are. I am Ron Paul. There is the link. Select a Candidate 2008

I was split evenly between Hillary and Obama. I disagreed on immigration, health care, social security, gun control, and education...pretty much what I figured anyway. Good site for those who want a real overview of candidates, but I wouldn't bet your vote on that.

I think this test does a great job at showing the limiting nature of American politics. There were many points during that test when an answer I thought of didn't appear on the list. Whether or not my answer is the "correct" one, if I am not able to truly choose my position, how is my perspective worth anything? None of the candidates support my positions - which are hardly that "radical" or "ultra left" to begin with - must I be left with voting for someone that merely stands for some of what I do? In a real democracy, shouldn't there be more choices, and more diverse candidates appearing in the mainstream?

Thecar2nistI didn't make the site.

I wouldn't dare suggest as much.

I didn't mean anything by it. But as you mentioned there, some options were completely ignored, just as they are by the media and the candidates. Of course no candidate could ever be a perfect match with you or I, we can do a lot better than three or four different personalities.

If i i was thinking of making something like this i would of course do some more research on politics and make some more choices. Also they should have all candidates out or in. Who knows who you want to be? Yea and some questions were pretty useless such as "should teachers be paid for how they act students". That is pretty useless and of course no because... wtf???
