If the elections for the 2008 US president happened today which person would you vote for. Sorry I couldn't fit all the candidates on the poll. I know we all got different views on politics. Please try to keep this thread clean.

Barack Obama, even though he doesn't have a chance in hell.

I think it's going to come down to either Rudy or McCain for the GOP ticket. I would be comfortable with either candidate.

D - none of the above. Clinton will probably pull through unless McCain runs, just a guess, time will tell. It also depends on how much further Bush digs a hole for his party.

Defintiely none of the above. Vote Libertarian!

Anyways I think Hilary will win the Democratic ticket and because she is a Psychobitch she will completely ruin it for democrats and either Juilliani or McCain will win. On the other hand Obama has a decent chance of winning the democratic ticket and in that case he might very well become President. Though I think the former series of events is more likely.

Agreed.

However, Obama is the least disliked by me. He has charisma, but does he have anything else?

Obama is great at making speeches and that's about it. Actually I like the diversity in the people from the Democrat side. A woman, hispanic and african american. At least the democrats are going beyond the average white male candidate.

I live in Illinois, and Obama is definetely an action taker. Guy visits schools regularly and helps out various Illinois communities a lot. Obama is a great person, and a leader, not a politician. I will be voting for him.

McCain...I'm no god damn conservative but McCain is probably the best outta those options for 2008.

McCain is old school conservative...what we've come to know as the "conservative side" is actually the neo conservative side....neos suck and are just impossible to deal with sometimes. The original conservatives arent actually that bad. Neos just run on that whole "if I keep talking louder than everyone else than I'm right" idea

Actually I like the diversity in the people from the Democrat side. A woman, hispanic and african american.

I like that too but the sad truth is America will never allow itself to diverge from the idealized version of a president....a white christian male...
